Ebay is holding payments from many of there sellers and its not right. They are earning money by holding our money. They should be paying interest on our money. Ever since Ebay parted with paypal the whole experience has gone down hill. Customer service is absolutely no help. I have made 7 phone calls in the last 20 days trying to find out why I'm not receiving money for items sold weeks ago. I'm told on each occasion that they have reported it and it will take 24 to 72 hours for an answer. I never once heard anything back from EBay and I call every other day. Ebay now requires sensitive information from there sellers then you never hear back from them .

" I have made 7 phone calls in the last 20 days trying to find out why I'm not receiving money for items sold weeks ago. "
That's a long time. Is your checking account verified? When was the last sales payment to your checking account? Obviously there is a problem, as managed payments usually take 2-5 days.

My bank account was verified months ago and I was receiving payments until Ebay required sensitive personal information to verify me. They demanded I send a photo of me passport of Drivers license. (I never ever want to give out that information but Ebay insisted. I sent what they requested. Each time I call I'm told yes they have all the information and my case will be expedited. I'm told it will take 24 to 72 hours. I have called 7 times and never once heard back from Ebay. After 20 years and 500k in sales I recently closed my Ebay store because of poor customer support and lack of support for there sellers. This is the last straw. Not paying the sellers for items sold and holding the money for no reason is inexcusable. Based on the complaints I'm seeing on line I think we need to pull together and take action to get our money with interest.

Verification you are the owner of the account.
Have you taken some time off from selling and then started selling again??

Just to clarify: "They demanded I send a photo of my passport or Drivers license."
After doing business on Ebay for 20 years, now they want to verify I am the owner of the account, yes
I sent them the proof they required and haven't been paid yet.
I have not sold anything for a month. Ever since I realized I wasn't getting paid. I just started reading the forums on people not getting paid and there are hundreds of complaints. I haven't seen one resolution.
Something is seriously wrong .

when contacting ebay ask for a payment specialist...

I don't think this is Managed Payments related.
There is a rule on Ebay that has been there for many years. It applies to all new sellers and sellers returning after 90+ days away from selling. Your money is likely on hold due to this. And it would have happened even if we were still using PayPal.

Can agree with @mam98031 here. This is true and I can confirm this.
The only reason they need a driver's license or something government related is to protect your account and make sure John Doe doesn't try to get in.
I would try contacting ebay via FB. The phone/general chat is terrible. But the social media reps are amazing.

I have been selling on ebay for 20 years and never had a problem with paypal. All the problems I've had over the years were a result of either policy changes or lack of support for the seller. I would think that after a month and 7 phone calls that something would be resolved or at least someone would tell me what the problem is, but nothing. I'm told everything has been proved that ebay demanded and my case would be escalated. It will take 24 to 72 hours... I've been told that 7 times it's **bleep**.

I was getting paid then it just stopped. No issues 100% feedback.

@usatech I just did a search on The Community Home page for "funds on hold", I was curious about what I would find since there seems to be a lot of threads on this topic lately ... so the first page that was returned I went to the bottom and saw the " <- 1 - 2 ->" page advance arrows and thought, okay, 2 pages, that's not too bad ... until I hit the "->" ... then there were 3 pages ... so I clicked it again ... 4 pages ... click ... 5 pages and on up to 7 pages where I stopped ... when I was with PayPal and active here I just never remember that many issues with threads about money on Hold.
I was fortunate and had a really fast start Selling too and never experienced any holds. Just stating facts here but I remember my first day Selling ... 3:30 PM I put up my first listing and kept working away ... by 11 PM that evening I had sold 5 items. In 90 days I had attained TRS and Power Seller and I had no idea what any of that meant, I was just helping to liquidate a family estate and thought I would try Selling on eBay, it worked, it was great and it was FUN! Not once during that 90 days or the high volume selling months that followed do I recall having any money put on hold ... I agree with the opinion that this is somehow related to Managed Payments, likely because eBay controls all the money compared to PayPal having the money before eBay got paid their fees (in the past).

As a seller I have had nothing but trouble when it comes to getting issues resolved. This is the last straw. When you can't get paid for items sold and received by the buyer with no issues and shipped on time. It would be foolish to continue to sell on ebay if there refuse to pay the sellers. I am out product and the shipping cost not to mention I can't restock inventory. 20 years and 500k in sales with 100% positive feedback and this is the thanks I get...

I called today and asked to speak with a payment specialist as suggested. I was told my concerns have been passed along and will be reviewed in 24 to 72 hours. They would not allow me to speak to a payment specialist. Unbelievable..

@usatech I don't blame you for planning to leave ... and this is how eBay treats their "Business Partners" (their term for Sellers) ... some things I read here on The Community I just shake my head and say, "you can't make this stuff up" ...
