No more eBay for me!

This managed payments scheme is a farce.  Having been a Top Rated Seller means nothing....I used to get paid the minute I printed the shipping label and now I wait 2 to 3 days....why implement such a stupid policy that is so alienating to your fee paying customers (sellers), and why would they think this would work?  Can someone help me understand their mindset on this issue?  If you call them you get the constant apologies and empathy but talking with them on the phone is like talking to a brick wall.  This WAS such a fun place to sell, easy, streamlined, and fast cash....no longer...guess I'll join the boycott parade and go to Poshmark, Bonanza and Offerup.  Sold 4 things on Offerup this weekend and NO FEES.....should have tried this a long time ago.

The money processing agreement between eBay and PayPal was not renewed so eBay had no choice but to find a new payment processing service. They decided to go with Adyen, who, unlike PayPal does not front (loan) the seller's money to the seller as soon as an order is placed. What you're now seeing is the real time frame of internet payment processing.  So, I think that you will find that most other venues using similar payment processors will handle payouts in a similar fashion.

PayPal spoiled us, and many are unhappy about this new system, but if you want to sell here you will have to use it.

No more eBay for me!

Delisted all my items today, a bittersweet feeling.  No sales for two-plus weeks prior, numerous scams abound, site glitches galore.  I no longer feel "safe," here as a seller or buyer.  I mean, just look at the flood of complaints and then the same old posters who tell you all will be fine when it is not.  They deflect and try to take the attention off issues and literally try to silence some with pithy admonishment.  Karma is coming.

I agree. I don't sell very often and like you said it used to be fun.

Quick sale meant quick payout.

What next? Will the payout come as soon as the seller turns 65 because that means he will be more responsible at that age?

@tmgrood

The PP "fronted" payout instilled a false sense of security in sellers.

That money was susceptible to being snatched back instantly for many months after paid.

eBay is not a "fast cash" solution for selling.

I find this interesting.

I am in my 60's and throughout the years I have been paid either weekly or, at times, monthly. My social security comes monthly.

I am thankful for the opportunity to create an avenue for increasing my income.

Best of luck to you wherever you land.
