Did you mean:

New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

Just getting my first bad taste of eBay's new seller payout system. It's a huge step backwards. With PayPal's recent addition of instant transfers, a person could get their payment from the buyer within minutes of the sale taking place. Now, you make your sale. A day and a half later you get an email from eBay telling you it has finally been sent to your financial institution, then get ready to wait another 1-3 days after that. LAME! And like others, I also preferred keeping my eBay sales separate from my regular bank account in the PayPal account. Of course Ebay tries to tout the benefits of what they offer with this sad new system, but the snails pace outweighs the minimal benefits they're claiming. At least for a smaller seller like myself. eBay please get smart and fix this **bleep**.

And you done see the problem with this? It's poor social economics for one and the removal of a system that worked incredibly well for a system that is hit and miss at best is laughable.

I don't see a problem with it?

I list, I sell, I get paid just like before.

The system works just fine if you give it a chance.

Have a great day.

I just don't like being told that funds are available, but they really aren't because they're still in process. Perhaps Ebay can be a bit more realistic regarding the time funds will truly being available. They could leave the payment status bar on processing all the way until it is received by the bank and then mark as available. That would help me feel better about the entire new process.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

Pay Pal gave us access to the funds, even before they received them and Ebay doesn't.🤔

That's the new soundbite to justify what has little to none justification in a globalised multimillion dollar marketplace using an open source selling platform.

When you go to a grocery store or gas station and use a debit/credit card, don't they let you leave with the merchandise before they receive the funds?

Does that recurrent justification even make sense? An online platform is not a grocery store. We're here ONLINE because we trade fast, and it's supposed to be faster  — that's the whole point.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

eBay Managed Payment System is deadly slow. Immediate Funds availability is a dream come true under eBay's Managed Payment System. PayPal is alot better than this 1st century Payment system where sellers are forced to enroll (in to eBay Managed Payment System). Only 2 days in to this Payment System and i am already done with it due to it taking forever to complete funds transfer. eBay needs to take this seriously and must get this fixed on urgent basis.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

Agreed. I sold an item on Thursday June 17; I got an email from eBay today (June 21) telling me my payment is on its way and expect to receive payment in 1-4 business days! As usual I am not sending the sold item until I have access to the funds, and I don't care what eBay says. If my buyer complains I will point them to EBay.

Don't do it. Just hold until you get paid. If enough people do this eBay will fix it.

Exactly, that is what I am doing and I don't give a **bleep** what eBay says.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

WOW...slow boat to China ala 2021. Paypal, moved money to bank and often times had same day clearance. Ebay...processing ......finally authorizing....not waiting  3 days + for bank to show funds in account.  MAJOR, MAJOR slow train runnin here.....painfully slow, not a good vibe at all.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

Yeah I agree, it is painfully slow and I refuse to post something I have sold til the money is in my account. I guess moving forward we may have to update our listings to buyers that due to Ebay pament system bought items will only be sent out after the funds are in our bank accounts. I don't know about you but getting an email from Ebay saying they have been paid and you can post the item immediately before we get the funds doesn't rest good with me. I am only going to post something once the funds are in my bank account.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

With a simple click on pay out of pending transactions, that's how.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

You can do that, or you can do what most of us in MP do and follow the procedure.

18 months on MP - I ship as soon as I am told to, never once not received the correct pay out.

But, it is up to you, you may either be getting a lot of INR claims or buyers not wanting a long handling time so prepare yourself for that.

Re: New ebay payout system is painfully slow.

There is plenty to fix and EBay will realize that soon enough. I have finally had enough of the money sucking grab by EBay and will no longer use them to sell anything. People that think EBay is the only way to sell have been brainwashed into believing as much.
