Never received payment for an item from ebay

In April I sold a camera on ebay. I never received payment for $244

I have made over a dozen chat calls to ebay where each time I have been told to wait for a response, I will be updated, the account will be fixed etc etc. They never ever come back to me on anything.

It appears that the listing had no payment method listed, yet their website let me list it and sell it! The payment was made and I was told I wouldn't get the payment until it was sent. I sent the item but the payment never came. I have since setup a sellers account which I was informed would fix things and allow payment. But it was not paid. I have triple checked bank accounts, card deposits and paypal. 

Every time I chat to them I am told something different. Todays told me it was paid out months ago to a credit card, with a number (last 4 digits) I don't even have! 

I have no idea how I can ever get my money out of them   😞

Sorry, what you’re saying doesn’t make much sense. All listings have at least one payment method, but that’s how the buyer can pay; it has nothing to do with how YOU get paid. And payments can’t be sent to a credit card.

Your problems probably start with the way you are describing your issue.  It is confusing and the way you word things seem to add to it.  I mean absolutely no disrespect by this, it is just my observation as you have a few issues the best I can tell.

Because this account has not been used as a selling account for a very long time, it makes you fall under the long standing rule ebay has for New Sellers and returning sellers of 90+ days with no sales.

That would be why the CSR told you to ship the item as you need it to show received for your payment process.  However they did NOT explain the rest of it, but the links above will.  And that is why you money got held up.

I'm unsure how you came to the conclusion that the listing had no payment methods on it.  Where did you get that information from?  Were you in MP in April?

What told you the payment was made?

Are you now selling under your new account?  If so, you will fall under the same rules as I gave you links to above.

As to finding out about your money and how much you have waiting for you.  Go to your Seller Hub.  Hover over the Payment Tab.  A drop down menu will appear, click on Summary.  That will tell you in summary what is happening with your money.  Look at it closely.  Get in there and learn about the other informational options you have under the Payment tab as will will help you manage your MP account.
