Managed payments

At the end of the day I will be putting a hold on all my listings until I get payed, and I do not mean "Processing Payments", I am sick and tired of eBays hold on the money I get from my sales, I have had zero balance in my financial page, while over 500.00 on hold for "Processing Payments". This is B.S.!!,  they want you to ship merchandise the very next day, and yet you have no funds for shipping expenses, I have had it with their managed payments, it just gets worse & worse.

Re: Managed payments

If your issue is Next-Day shipping, you can always pay the postage from your Pending (Processing) Funds. Just shimmy to the bottom of the label page and choose your poison. Your choice will become your new default.

Good luck.

Re: Managed payments

I totally agree.  they need to leave things alone.  they are getting interest on the money.  i should have a choice where i want my funds to go.  i choose paypal.  before they MADE you use Paypal.  now they won't let you.  if there was another auction site i would use it instead.  i don't know who they think they are.

Re: Managed payments

No, my issue is not just that, but eBay holding funds for several days while they are "Processing Payments", this is something they have just started recently. Give me the old days of PayPal,  payment made, funds available right away, this new way is nothing short of **bleep**!, managed payments is by far the absolute worse move eBay has made.

@loaf46

Yeah... you're going through issues I went through when I opted into MP over a year-and-a-half ago. But back then it was a 6-14 day hold... now, I experience my buyer's payment being my bank deposit in 4 business days.

Agreed, I miss the fat wallet that was PayPal. You'll be able to adapt... I did. Good luck!

Re: Managed payments

You don't need money in your bank account to pay for shipping labels.   EBAY deducts money for shipping label  immediately after sale is made (from "pending funds").   Delaying shipments not a good idea because you will have unhappy customers and your EBAY rating will be downgraded.

MANAGED PAYMENTS takes 3-5 days before money is deposited into your CHECKING ACCOUNT.     EBAY deducts for shipping & EBAY fees (whatever is leftover is deposited into your bank account).

Because money is no longer going into PayPal...you need to change default on SHIPPING LABELS and MONTHLY STATEMENT (listing fees) to Managed Payments.

Next time you print label (go to bottom of page) click box to change to Managed Payments.   You also need to change default on Monthly Statement to MP.

Re: Managed payments

Agreed, should have left things the way they were. Now I have money in my Ebay account but have to wait for it to show up in my bank account. Before it worked great with Paypal, you get paid right away and could use the money to buy other things etc. Now you need to jump through hoops just to get paid. As of now I am not selling anymore here.

Re: Managed payments

It seems illegal how they are charging fees.  my final value fee used to be 10 percent.  now they add in the shipping and charge a value on that also.

Re: Managed payments

there is a schedule in your account dashboard on how the payments are Supposed to be disbursed.  they are not sending them this way.   i waited a week for a payment which is ridiculous.  this is my money!!!!!!  banks cannot hold cash money so why can ebay.

Re: Managed payments

Ebay has charged final value on shipping payments for 10 years now.

It is not a new thing .

While the payment is processing, there is no money to earn interest on.

Have a great day.

While the payment is processing, there are no funds to hold.

Some credit/debit cards take longer to process then others.

When I was accepting American Express on one of my web sites, sometimes it was two weeks before I received the funds.

Have a great day.

Since Pay Pal no longer wants to process payments for Ebay, what do you suggest Ebay do so we can be paid.

Have a great day.

That's nothing new, they've been doing that for years.

Have a great day.
