Managed payments

I have been an ebay seller for about 20 years.... Suddenly, the sell page reads that I am participating in Managed payments. I have not signed up for, nor am I participating in any "managed payment" plan. Because of this ebay would not accept my listing for a common silverplate pitcher... Claiming this item was subject to "price gouging" and then telling me "do not list this again".   What?!?!?  ... any information would be helpful

Well eBay has been announcing that EVERYONE will be transitioned to managed payments for quite some time. I believe they've been advertising this for over a year now. Most sellers were moved over the summer and supposedly the remainder will be moved by 2021. So you may not like this move but I'm wondering why it seems to be a surprise to you. You can read much more about managed payments on this board where plenty of very good information is provided. It's a hot topic for sure. Best of luck to you....

Re: Managed payments

Everyone is required to sign up for  MANAGED PAYMENTS.   If you don't sign up...you cannot sell on EBAY.

If you got a message requesting that you update your account with banking info, and SSAN that is eBay's latest way of tricking sellers into MP without really telling them that they are opting in when they provide that info/

Re: Managed payments

You should have received an email from Ebay that said it was your time to register for MP.  If by the date given in the email you did not register, you would not be able to list new listings on Ebay.  IDK if about the price gouging error message but if the date has passed for when you should have registered, then that is why you can't list.

Also your listings are NOT currently in MP.  It may be worth your time to try and find that email either in your personal emails you get from Ebay or in your My Messages on Ebay.  Time to register and move into MP.

Onboarding you off domestic payments processing (Paypal, San Jose) as the front-end retriever of personal and financial information onto Adyen, Amsterdam?
