Managed payment payouts

Fact: Ebay can make payments ever day or on Tuesdays.

I find it curious that we can't ask for our payout when we want it since they can do it everyday.

I have Daily set for payouts. One day I may receive less than $10 and the next day it may be $200. I wouldn't request the $10 but I would the $210.

Their game their rules, but it's crazy.

You seem to have some misunderstandings.  Daily payouts does not mean they happen 7 days a week.  It means they happen 5 days a week on Business days only as long as a holiday doesn't fall in that week.

I and many other sellers agree with you about being able to leave our money in MP until we would like to have it transferred.  From what I gather from the Ebay Open Event, this is something coming next year sometime.  So we will just have to wait and see what it is all about.

I do the Weekly payouts.  It works very well for me.

Sites that do that have a wallet system - we don't have that yet here, but as @mam98031  says that may be coming later, probably after the roll-out is done.

Believe me, you do NOT want eBay to do too many things at once. 🤤

That is what was said at Ebay Open.  That almost all of the US sellers are now onboarded and the international sellers should all be onboarded before the end of the year.  Next year they are going to concentrate on some enhancements to the program.  Which this does make perfect sense.  I've said it before Ebay even brought it up.  They are far too busy this year with all the onboarding to also enhance the program.  Likely 2022/2023 will see some wonderful positive changes to MP to make it easier to live with for many sellers.

And YES you are absolutely correct.  "Believe me, you do NOT want eBay to do too many things at once."  😍

So open a free checking account and keep your money there. What possible difference does it make?

Managed payment payouts

when you spent a bunch of money on a nice item that was already in paypal then it did not alwasy feel like you were spending  real money

using a card to buy stuff with MP feels like its more real since you end up wth a real bill on the CC

I tend to think that sellers are buying less with MP.many sellers kept  a nice chunk of money in paypal and it was nice to spend it on ebay purchases

What do you mean?  For many sellers it makes a lot of difference for others they don't care.  For me I have a separate checking account to drop all my online sales into as I sell on more than just the Ebay site.  It doesn't mingle these funds with my personal checking account which makes for cleaner and easier bookkeeping too.  It also keeps any given site away from my personal checking account which I personally think has value.

If this isn't something that is important to you, there is nothing wrong with that.  It is an individual decision to make.

That's it, their rules.

Has been discussed before that some would like to choose their "weekly" payout day Must be some reason for Tuesday.  Monday Holiday of course pushes the payment out another week for some weekend sales that would normally process on Monday.

I find the "weekly" payout on Tuesday to be a non-issue(even with the Mon Holiday argument) as it is a very simple process of just a few clicks to change from "weekly" to "daily", and back again if one feels that eBay will be holding that cash too long. After all PP used to "front" it immediately.

Have $200-300-400-500 that missed Tuesday, just go "daily", snatch those funds up, and switch back to "weekly".

Payout on Tuesday would likely from an overall perspective get the funds processed by Friday by most banks/cu's.   Later in the week, and then some would be grousing about how that was too late in the week, and their bank/cu did not post it until after the weekend.

Payout on Tuesday allows, in most instances for me, Sat/Sun sale funds to be processed. And again,  drum roll please,  but, but, but, but there are so many Monday Holidays where the payment does not make the "payout". (see above.  switch to "daily", and then back to "weekly" in those instances where funds can not wait)  And again, drum roll please.......   why should I have to do that.  It's so easy, just do it. Takes less time than posting about the inhumanity of the whole process.

@buyselljack2016

I completely agree with you with one notation.  For me, when there is a Monday holiday, it has only been since Memorial Day that there was an issue with what cleared before my Tuesday payout.  Up until that time they DID process pending payments over a weekend, but now they don't.  Something change but Ebay won't tell me what as I've asked many times.

Your way of doing daily payouts temporarily is a perfect solution for those of us on Weekly deposits.  However for those on Daily deposits the lack of processing pending payments over the weekend is problematic.  Lots of sellers will no longer get Monday transfers or much smaller ones.  All this newer process does is slow down the process it does nothing to enhance it positively.  I simply don't understand why the change.
