Managed Payments

We just got converted to Managed Payments.  Looking for honest feedback.  Please send me any tangible benefits you have found in this program.   Please do not commiserate or reiterate Ebay propaganda.  Want to see if any sellers have found any real benefits I am missing or maybe come up with any beneficial hacks.

Right now I am having problems getting past the MUCH higher sales commissions ( we sell some high dollar items where the commission used to be capped at $350) and the 7 day delay in receiving funds from a sale.  That really hurts and will result in the need to raise prices.

@jasetech   Advantages of Managed Payments with eBay as the Intermediator compared to PayPal as the Payment processor:

Pros:  None

Cons:  This list is long and you asked " ... Please do not commiserate or reiterate Ebay propaganda. ..." and probably also meant don't list our gripes here ... I get that and respect it.

I can't think of any tangible benefits, either.

Just thought of one potential tangible benefit...when a full refund is given to a buyer the seller gets all of the FVF, but not the $0.30 per order fee, back.  PayPal kept the fees they charged when a seller refunded a buyer.

The fees should not be "much" higher unless you are forgetting that the FVF charged in MP also includes the money processing fee we use to pay PayPal but now is paid to MP.

I like having all the information under the Payment tab without having to run back to PP for certain information.  I find it easier.

I like the fact that if I need to cancel an order or fully refund an order I get my FVF back which includes the money processing fee.

If you are a seller that has some or all of their listings that qualify for TRS+, the discount you get is a little higher now.  Pre MP the TRS discount is figured on the FVF paid on the product price only.  In MP the discount is figured on the entire FVF collected which includes shipping, sales tax and the money processing fee.

I do the weekly deposits.  MP consistently releases them Tuesday mornings and by Wednesday before noon it is in my bank.

There may be others that I haven't discovered.  All in all I don't find MP that much different than the payment processing programs on the other sites I sell on.  However out of all of them, I still much prefer the flexibility of PP.  Unfortunately we don't have that choice anymore.
