I am sure many of you in Managed Payments already know this, but for those that don't, the Transaction report available for download (under the Payments tab>Reports in Seller Hub) can be set by date range to download data for the entire year (2020) or any portion of the year you choose.

Just more FYI:

There is no 'total' row at the top. The 'holds' will mess up creating a correct total. So, I delete the 'holds', then hide all the unnecessary columns (that are blank anyway).. add a row above the 1st dollar amount shown, and 'sum' the totals of 3 columns- the 2 'fees', and the 'gross'. I change the returns to zero, and move that amount to the column next to it (add a column and name it 'returns'... then total that one up as well. So now wind up with 4 columns.. 2 for fees, 1 for 'gross (correct gross without minuses for 'returns' as that number is needed separate on Schedule C against the true 'gross' (at least till I see how ebay totals up their 1099) and a final for 'returns'.

wow what a mess, took me a week just to find a free excel program, my accountant look at it and called it a nightmare. Paypal click click click done and on Jan. 1st I had all info needed for year prior, still had to wait for "official" 1099 but it matched

Yep- was developed by someone with no clue on what an Excel Spreadsheet should look like. Does absolutely no good without totals, and negatives (holds and refunds) in the 'gross' line along with positives is not how taxes are filed... bottom line even if you create your own 'total row' those numbers (holds/refunds) should be in a separate column. Also have to watch to see if the 'hold' is offset with a 'plus' before 'refunding'.

I set the Transaction report to run but when I download is comes up blank.

Hmm, I know there were some problems with downloads last week. Supposedly those problems were fixed. I was able to download the report for Jan 1 - 31 2021 this morning. I am sorry, the only thing I can suggest is to post your issue on the Technical Issues board here in the Community.
