Managed Payments - FEE??

How much fee is managed payment taking?

I sold a $99 item (+buyer pays for shipping) and I only got $80 back and I have to pay shipping too.

Where is the fee % breakdown? This is like a 20% fee!

"Where is the fee % breakdown? "

seller hub -> payments -> all transactions -> click the relevant "Transaction Details" (button with blue-text hyperlink)

@junelychance

Ebay s Final Value Fees are 12.35% +30 cents,based on TOTAL amount of sales which includes shipping charges & sales tax paid by buyer.

What could be a reason for creating so much confusion among sellers?

Other than the sign up process being a nightmare until you find that correct method....

The confusion I have seen on these boards is caused by sellers not reading the agreements and information they were sent.

Managed Payments - FEE??

Ebay's lack of detailed accounting is pathetic. What the op shared IS the transaction details page! No break out of payment components. No statement of the fee rate and what amount it was applied to.

@junelychance , are you saying that the "order total" is wrong? It should be  price, plus shipping you charged, and plus sales tax.

The fee rate implicit in the detail show (ha), as shown, is 19.3%. To know if that  fee rate is correct, OP/we need to know the category, whether the buyer is registered outside the US, whether you are being assessed the penalty fee rate for service metrics (ie returns), whether you have a store, and what level of store.

Good point about promo listing, @annadryl . But I had my first sold promo item in MP.  The promo fee is shown as a separate charge to available funds (not to the monthly invoice as I'd imagined it would be. As a result, my available balance is negative because buyer's payment has not yet cleared.

I would appreciate someone doing the calculation behind the OP example. Anyone?
