So I can't get past the first step on Managed Payments. It doesn't want to take my correct PO Box OR my physical address. It wants to give me a town and zip code 15 miles away. We ARE in a rural area, but gee.......the address they insist I use is incorrect.
Just for kicks I let them use the wrong address and could get to the next page. But my bank account is not going to match that address, so I was afraid to go further.
I called eBay on Monday and a very nice lady tried to help me with no success. She said someone from the Payments Team (or something like that) would call me back, but I never heard back from them.
(I did miss a call from an "EIS Helpline" but when I googled that, I decided it was likely SPAM. And if I call the number back, it just says EIS Helpline is not available).
So what do I do? Tried to call eBay today and they aren't available either......it says:
"Sorry, this contact channel will be closed before an agent is available to speak with you today. Please try again tomorrow." And it's mid-day on a Thursday.
I'm so discouraged! I've been a seller for at least 12 years and now I feel like I am being forced out. And they don't even care if I am forced out. I would quit eBay all together except it is a great place to sell things that I haven't had luck selling elsewhere. My sales are going to be pretty low without eBay. But they make getting help is so hard!
I don't even know if there is a deadline for signing up to managed payments. I thought the deadline was the end of 2020. But I read somewhere it is now the end of 2021? I never received an email that said I HAD to register, but I keep getting a message on my seller account:

You'll need to keep asking for a call back at the bottom of the Managed Payments help page below everyday until you get one. Due to them forcing more and more sellers into MP, they are seriously backed up. If you don't keep trying, they'll never help. You'll have better luck if you call them when they open in the morning, their hours are 5:00am to 6pm PT.

Thank you, I will keep trying.....earlier next time. I appreciate you trying to help me.

Go into your profile page ( at your desktop computer) and look over your personal info, what address does it say? Does that address match your bank acct? Does everything match exactly with your bank including middle name or initial?
Edit your ebay address so that it matches what's on your bank acct ( edit is on your right side)...then save changes, view again is it ok?
Then proceed to go back and finish process ( your email from ebay) enter the rest of info. If all this doesn't work with address, you'll probably have to wait for that call. Best to you Silver

Forgot to add that you need a street address not a POB number!

They don't even have my bank account information yet........I'm still at the first step of "Verifying your existing details." They won't let me put in my actual, correct, street address. They want it to be a town and zip 15 miles away.
I do have a PO Box listed on my checking account, I suppose that will cause problems too, but I'm not even to that step yet.
I have a feeling, because I didn't receive an email that says I HAVE to switch to MP at this very minute, that maybe I can still do listings? But I'm not really sure. I thought the deadline for signing up to Managed Payments was December 2020, and now it seems like somewhere I've read it is at the end of 2021? But I don't know where I read that or if it's correct. I don't want to list items and then not be able to get the money for them! So I feel stuck in limbo here. The call back line is still not working. I didn't get up as early as I should have though. 😞
If I have until the end of 2021 I would gladly just go on as normal. But this info doesn't seem to be clearly available. Does anyone know if I can go about listing normally for a while? I never received an ultimatum by email but a warning on my eBay summary page that says "Getting paint on eBay has changed."
Thank you guys for trying to help me, I really do appreciate it.

How I setup Managed Payments with a PO Box
1. I setup a new checking account online using the address format below.
2. I also edited my addresess on eBay and PayPal to: 1234 Anywhere St. #6000, City, State, Zip code, where the #6000 is my PO box number.
My post office instructed me to do it this way as we don't receive USPS mail at our residences.
Managed payments setup like a breeze, with no issues. My new debit card for the online checking account showed up at my PO box about 7 days later...

Doesn't sound like the issue you are having is a MP issue. There is something about your address eBay does not like. With a problem like that you should be able to get a call back within minutes.

So I went in and played with that a bit. I wasn't planning on setting up a new bank account, but maybe that's what has to happen. Anyway, I set up my address in this format like you suggested:
1234 Anywhere St. #6000, City, State, Zip code, where the #6000 is my PO box number.
And I did that in my eBay account settings. It saved it. But then when I tried to update my info in the first step of managed payments, it still said the address doesn't match their postal records. I think I will talk to my postal lady when I see her. Maybe she knows why the postal records want me to be in a town 15 miles away. Apparently eBay gets it's address information from the postal records somehow. What a mess.

There was an option to use the address I entered, instead of the one the post office had on record, so it added it. I also added it to PayPal, as some sellers ship only UPS and FEDEX, now I only have one address.
You can also use the post office street address with the #NUM added to it.
Are you a rural route? RR.
If your address is, I would use the address of the post office with the BOX NUMBER #...

Just an update.........
I got through on the phone to eBay yesterday and the lady there said it was a known glitch and in a week or two they should have it fixed. She didn't see anything restricting my account (even though I had messages that said I missed the deadline for Managed Payments and my account would be restricted!?). But she didn't see that was actually the case and thought I would be able to sell without trouble until the glitch was fixed.
So........I listed a few items yesterday and had no trouble doing so. Everything looked and worked like normal.
I know I will still need to sign up for MP but I will wait until they push me into it and maybe things will work properly then. Cautiously optimistic!

So here I am.......February 24th. I've talked to the "managed payments team" at least twice. I am supposedly on a list of people who are having the same problem. I got put on that list two weeks ago. My account is suspended and I can't list any items for sale. I told that to the managed payment people. Still no help or no fix.
I've been waiting two hours now for them to call me back after putting in a request. Just to see if they are making any progress. I don't know if I will ever hear back.
I'm so discouraged and frustrated with eBay. They have to have the worst customer service of any place I've ever dealt with. If I had a better place to sell, I would be there. This is just an update for those of you who might be interested. To know that all is NOT happy and well and fixed.
