It is not possible to talk to a Human at Ebay. Scum Move by Ebay

When I use paypal to pay on Ebay, it no longer gives the option to use payment sources other than the default. I want to fix that. Obviously after half an hour it there is no options to change that. I have spent well over an hour trying to find a contact phone number for Ebay. (Ebay list all kinds of answers online that all lead to the Obvious spot where it should be, https://www.ebay.com/help/call_us?type=ContactUs&topicId=4000, But you will NEVER find a phone number there). I found a customer support phone number 1-866-540-3229 but if you try to use it, you cannot talk to a human, it is not an option, (Give it a try, prove me wrong). It only offers "Send you a text" or tells you to go to the above listed site. 

Seriously has anyone ever  reached them? Can anyone tell me a number and exact sequence of selection that will get a human? I have been an Ebay Member since 1998, I have 100% Positive on over 1,000 feedbacks. I just am trying to do it right. Why are they Scamming us on customer support?

Have you contacted PayPal to see why you don't have any other options, since it is on Pay Pal?

Try going to Pay-Pal and fix your wallet there. Pay-Pal and eBay are not connected except as a payment method just like any other debit or credit card. 

The only way is to request a call back. There is no number to just call.

I did talk to paypal. They don't have control on that. I did manage to dig down in the menus on Ebay and find an option to delete payment methods. I deleted Paypal, then closed every closed/reopened my browser. I added Paypal as a payment method and Boom! I can now pick whatever funding source I want from Paypal.

If you mean that when you check out of eBay and select PayPal, you are not able to choose a specific payment method in your PayPal wallet but one is automatically selected for you, in that case go to your eBay Payments page in your eBay account and delete the entry for PayPal that appears there.

The next time you check out on eBay and choose PayPal, you should be sent to your PayPal wallet page and given a chance to pick a specific payment method.

I am able to use Paypal 

1.) for 'purchases' using my Credit Card ISSUED by Paypal (the 'old' paypal credit line, now a credit card)

2.) for 'spending' using my Chase CC for Shipping Labels that I purchase from ebay, using Paypal.

If you are not- you did NOT set up Paypal correctly. 

Has NOTHING to do with Ebay
