Is there a way to alter the default payment card for checkout without deleting them?

I have a work expenses visa card on my Ebay account, for buying anything to do with my employment: I don't use it often; but somehow it is the default card at checkout, and I keep accidentally forgetting to swap to my personal card: A bit embarrassing having to explain why I've bought a camera on expenses!

I have tried often, but can find no way of changing the 'default' card other than deleting them completely: even then, the default then goes down the chain to the most recently installed card.. which means I'd have to remove all but one of the cards on my account! This seems so unnecessary.. there should be a way!

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

Phil

It's sort of a workaround, but you can put each of your cards in your PayPal wallet, then tick the one you want to use as your 'Preferred method while shopping online' and Save. Then, pay with PayPal.

Whatever you tick will remain the default but can be changed. Plus, you get another layer of protection with PayPal.

Why don't you open up a second Ebay account ONLY for employment purchases?  You will need a second email address.

Any help with this question would be much appreciated. We shouldn't have to delete, remove and constantly add cards all the time to buy stuff on eBay. Why can't they just have a button to set a default payment option.

Because that just makes WAY too much sense and eBay doesn’t do common sense.
