A buyer in the USA who won my auction had an email these days saying that he could not pay because he was hospitalized due to the weather and would pay as soon as he recovered. I liked it. I think what I did was right. Tell me what you think. I would love to accept any answer.

It is possible that eBay might punish you for not shipping the item on time. Considering that you seem to be a relatively new seller, that's not such a good idea.
I would advise that you request your buyer to cancel the sale. That way, your seller account is protected from being punished by eBay for non-shipment.
If the buyer refuses, you may have to explain the eBay policy to them.
If the buyer still refuses, you may have to ship the item, just to avoid being punished by eBay.
Good luck!

I have no idea what you did ?
If it were me if he still hasn’t paid within 4 days, on the 5th day you can go to your Seller Hub to cancel the transaction using the “Buyer hasn't paid” reason and this gives the buyer a strike and you can relist. In future to have eBay automatically cancel your transactions due to non-payment:
Go here: https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase

I see you are located in Sri Lanka. One of the biggest challenges right now for all Sellers there (trying to use eBay) is the issue of getting paid. Can you please explain how you get paid in Sri Lanka as a Seller on eBay?

Mr. L

How are you going to make any money selling for $0.99 with free shipping?
By the time you pay the fee's and shipping, there won't be any money left.

Bruh what’s the point? You’ve sold 2 stuff for $0.20 and $1.11 You’re making no money.

They sold 2 things for $0.20 lmao.

@kensgiftshop , @chrispass918 ,
So basically they owe Ebay money, but will get nothing for themselves (seeing as their fees for a $0.20 sale would be roughly $.02 + 0.30, so they sold for $0.20 but now owe Ebay $0.32)
Wow. Just . . . wow.

We can't tell you our thoughts (much less, validate you) until you tell us what you did. I would love to hear your actions.

If that's what Seller School teaches I'm glad I didn't go there.

I think they are probably not going to pay you. List all your items at a buy it now, fixed price with immediate payment required checked in the box by the payment methods offered by ebay. Welcome to the world of scammers and sports bidders on ebay. Please take the advise of the other veteran, experienced sellers here. They know what they are talking about. Sorry this was your experience.
