Hello, I have ran into a payment issue that I have never had in >20 years.
I have 2 auctions I won and when I try to access my cart I immediately get an error message. This is prior to any payment choices, I cannot even get to that screen.
It started at 2PM today, I figured I'd just wait a couple hours. But, I got up at @AM just to pay 2 people and it's got the message: "
pay.ebay.com is currently unable to handle this request.

I've seen some complaints along these lines from some other Sellers.
Are you using My Ebay or are you using the Seller Hub?
The Seller Hub does not seem to be having these issue that I'm aware of, you might give it a try. IDK if it will help you, but it would only take a moment to check.

I tried the hub, I tried just checking out, I had them send invoices, nothing worked.
I called Ebay, the number is now only for fraud. I got on chat, he must have been chatting with 15 people as each response took minutes. He said they were understaffed due to Covid and we had a pandemic. I explained that Ebay makes money from fees every second of every day and there are people that need help.
All I got was a cookie cutter response, after nearly 90 minutes chatting he couldn't help me, said it would have to go to a specialist!! So, what is he, or any CHAT person actually able to do?? Nothing, that's what they can do. It's not his fault, that's what he was hired for, but Corporate Ebay just doesn't care about us, that's all I can assume.
I haven't needed help but 2 times in 22 years, yesterday was one of them and they were zero help....

OK what I'm going to say next may sound really simple, but all too often it is the problem when displays are acting up.
Did you try a different browser?
Clear your cookies. Shut down whatever device you are using to review the information. Restart and see if everything appears better.

In addition to trying another browser, try checking out on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com -- that can help in some cases. Since each site has its own cart system, you may need to check your Purchase History if you have already committed to purchasing an item to make sure you do not accidentally purchase the same item again.
Or else try checking out using the eBay app.

I cleared my computers cache and cookies and could then pay my seller, WHOOPIE!! Just odd that I had been making 3 dozen purchases a month and this suddenly happened...
I am amazed that I was on chat for over an hour and all it amounted to in the end was "sorry, I can't help you, your account is in good standings". It was frustrating because I'd type what they requested to "live chat" and it would take 3 or 5 minutes for them to respond. And in the beginning I gave them all relevant information, right down to my browser, my operating system, how long I've been on Ebay etc etc. But he kept asking me to repeat what I had already said, like they weren't focused on me because they were dealing with multiple people. And after all that time he said I'll have to send this to someone who knows the tech aspect better than me. How on Earth could he not have known enough to say "Have you cleared your cache and cookies?? That's a typical problem when your account is otherwise working fine". Nope, they didn't know that and I'm not certain what problems "chat" can actually fix?? It seems that they don't know more than you or I do...

I meant to say "THANK YOU!!" to all that replied because it's more evident than ever that we are 100% on our own...
