I am done selling on Ebay!

   Anyone selling on Ebay might want to share this. Jan 10 of this year Ebay blew away PayPal as far as sellers go. Great move because PayPal has zero customer service but Ebay had ulterior motives. They raised their selling fees from 10% to 12.35%, on top of that there is a transaction fee and the straw that broke the camel's back is that they charge these fees to the seller for income tax they are required to collect! It was nothing but a money grab. I'm done with Ebay.  Ebay is every bit as bad as PayPal if not worse!

For the majority of people it will be almost exactly the same fees.

I agree that most sellers will see lower costs, but just wanted to add my 2 cents, and say that this is not true for all sellers. 100% of my items are under $10 with shipping+tax, so this change has affected my entire ebay channel. Good luck to everyone.

I sell a lot of sports cards for under $3.00 and that $.30 fee is severe for the low dollar sales.

but they did collect 12.375% of total sale including sale tax + 30 cents

Even I upgrade to basic store tier, they still charge that much. not 11.5% as they state in the website.

I get called ebay customer services several times, they either hang on me or promise the problem will be solved but it never got resolved

im right there with you. they've shot themselves in the foot yet again. new nickname: feebay. im out of here as far as selling goes. it's sad. I tried so hard for years to get where I am. so disappointed

no no no no, you're forgetting

• the 2020 ebay hack for passwords and how now there will be a direct route to your bank account, so the next hack will get to that.
• it'll take 3-7 (business days) for your allowance to get to you after making a sell.
•  its the buyer's interest move, not the seller's interest. why does it matter if the buyer can pay multiple ways, when they can link their cards to paypal and pay that way? because they want to have more uneducated buyers. someone who doesn't know how paypal works. ebay should educate buyers.
• paypal was easy because you could get your money and transfer to your bank account quickly and instantaneously (with a 10% fee).  theres no reason why you shouldn't have the money you make in your hand.
• I've never had a good experience with ebay's disputes or requests. someone literally almost scammed me and I had to investigate myself, asking for pictures of the item and the packaging and then ask the person what's going on? and I know ebay would have just said give the money back. then I had another person say they didn't receive their item. the shipping their choice takes forever, its happen before and the people still gets their items. do you really want ebay to have more control over you and your living? not me.
• Amazon, Esty, offer up, these are gonna be places im gonna start/continue selling at because of ebay's new move.
