How ebay stole my 2000$....

More than a month ago they put my payments on hold. I sent documentation and waited... And waited... I started chatting and calling them... "Everything is okay, backoffice need more time to review"... They requested me to change bank 2 times (and i wouldnt know that if i didnt ask on chat) because "they dont accept that bank anymore". So i changed to third bank that "they accept". Again no removal of restriction. Again i ask on chat what is happening... Again answer is "everything is okay, you provided everything, back office need to review"...

UNTIL EBAY SUSPENDS ONE MY ACCOUNT!!!!

I ask on chat, they dont know why it is suspended, but they know i cant get it back. They tell me i got email about it. I didnt get any email.

I even asked them on twitter, this is their answer.

"Thank you for taking the time to reach back out about the status of your account. We had hoped to be able to move forward with getting your account back up and running, but will not be able to do so. We understand that the move from PayPal to eBay Managed Payments was a big one, and we asked for information and action from you that we had never needed before. To allow time to provide the information and for you to decide if this was the best platform for you, we sent reminders so we could get your account verification completed. When this was not provided, we took the steps to restrict your payouts in the hope that you would provide the details we needed. Unfortunately, we still did not receive the requested information needed to verify your account and we made the decision to part ways. We understand that this is not the resolution you were hoping for but wish you all the best in your future endeavors. "

They **bleep** never asked me for documentation without restricting the account. Every time i provided documentation it was solved in 2 days. This time they are telling me that i didnt provide documentation, while i was told multiple times that all documentation is good. They were walking me around for 40 days and now suspend for "no documentation"... Im just waiting when will this account be suspended too and more of my money stolen...

The response you got from twitter seems to me they are talking like they never got your initial information for registering for MP, not anything new or additional.  They talk like you never submitted your SSN, Bank routing number and your checking account number.

Try Ebay for Business on Facebook.

And let me say, I'm really sorry this is happening to you.  I sincerely wish I could do more.

You might want to have lawyer review what you were sent. Specifically "When this was not provided, we took the steps to restrict your payouts in the hope that you would provide the details we needed." Hard to believe anyone with basic business knowledge would ever state this.

Whom did you call, and how did you get the number to call? What chat? The back office sounds strange! Were you dealing through eBay or emails? Your eBay account is still in place, so the "part ways" does not sound like you have had your account closed.

I am writing this from my second account which is still not suspended.

Through ebay help page, requested calls, same with chats. Yesterday i tried to get real reason for suspension, they transferred me atleast 10 times and everyone told me different, and at the end they threw me out of chat so again i know nothing.

Why is that?  MP has always been up front about the information REQUIRED, without it, they can't process the money back to the seller.  It really is pretty basic.

Now I'm not saying what is happening with the OP is right.  They have something going on and clearly MP is NOT working with them effectively to resolve the issue.  That certainly needs to change.

How ebay stole my 2000$....

Small update from me... Ebay still not wanting to pay me.

Today they told me that my name and DOB is missmatching. I dont live in US, but i have business in US, so in business owner details i have my home country address (in Europe) and Europe ID. Problem with my name is that i have letter "Š" in my last name and i need to change it to "S"... Okay, no problem, I can change it, but then i will make missmatch between document and account info so i dont see a reason to do that..

But DOB??? In account i have date 01/22/1990 (date just for example). They told me that I need to change my DOB in the account to 22/01/1990, like it says in document.

My document have date in DD/MM/YYYY format, while ebay accepts only MM/DD/YYYY format.. I tried to explain that to them lot of times already and every time they said it is okay like that.

I even tried to change it  now to 22/01/1990, but system dont accept 22 as month.

Does anyone maybe know for possible solution?

This is the first time I've heard of the DOB issue, so I have no answers for that.

As to your registered name on the Ebay account and the bank account you want to attach.  Those MUST PERFECTLY match or there is a problem.  No exceptions that I'm aware of.  It has to do with part of the identity verification process as imposed by our Federal Government.

Also the registered address you have on Ebay must perfectly match the address on the attached bank account.  PO boxes aren't allowed, it must be a physical address.  Again part of the ID verification process.

Changed name to letter s instead of š, "updated" dob and contacted them again, today was hold removed and money sent to bank account. Finally.

Now to second problem. Second account that got suspended for failing to provide needed information... How  to appeal that? Now i know what are the "missmatches" and i think that these are so tiny missmatches that i dont see reason why they wouldnt remove suspension, but dont know where to appeal... I wanted to correct that in my account, but when i get to personal info i get message "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." and i cant even see my data.

While the differences are tiny, they are important.  Ebay has to comply with certain Federal laws regarding verifying your identity.  They can't make an exception to that because any seller thinks it is a tiny difference.  They must comply with the verification process as stated in the Banking rules [even though they aren't a bank] and the Anti Money Laundering Laws.

On your other account, can you still go in and correct the differences or are you locked out?  If you are locked out, you can simply set up another new selling account and make sure you comply with the needs of MP or maybe go to Ebay for business on Facebook to see if they can help you to access the old account.

Dropshipping from other retail sites, which isn't allowed, it probably won't be long.

Have a great day.

If they don't have an agreement with that retail site to do dropshipping, then yes that is a breach of the rules.  But if they have an agreement with that retailer or they are using a wholesaler and have an agreement with them to do dropshipping for them, then they are within the rules.

Yes, but it's the program they are using, the OP don't have agreements with the retailers.

Have a great day.

How did you determine that?

USA date format is usually mm/dd/yyyy. Canada is usually dd/mm/yyyy for government but because of many USA companies with branches from USA in Canada the mm/dd/yyyy is common. Add to this some sites wanting date in yyyy/mm/dd. Europe I believe is like Canada with dd/mm/yyyy.

In the eBay Canada forums, one member posted that they could not get MP because of identity issues not matching. Eventually realized it was month and day reversed.

So when some sellers have identity issues, members will post to check date of birth format.
