How do I sign up for Ebay managed payments

A friend told me that Ebay can manage y payments now instead of Paypal,   Is this beneficial to me and what do I do.

You'll have to wait for them to invite you to join. I wouldn't be in a hurry if I were you. Read some of the posts on this board about MP problems. eBay is saying everyone should be in by the end of this year, so you might read up in it so you'll be prepared when your time comes. Yes SOME may have left but more join eBay all the time. Funny a lot of the biggest voices here about leaving eBay are still around. Remember too, the number of people that post or read these forums, is tiny compared to the actual number of people signed up and using eBay. But I do agree, don't be in a hurry and read up on it so you will be ready. 🙂
