Hello! I used to be a heavy seller on eBay here about 15 years ago. I haven't sold anything for years.
Upon selling my first item recently, I didn't receive payment. I got a message that stated the funds are on hold and to ship the item.
How am I supposed to ship the item if I don't have the funds to do so?
I feel like eBay is asking me for a free days-long loan, here. Why would I ship anything out if I haven't received payment yet? I'm not dipping into my own wallet and then waiting days on end for pandemic-era slow mail service. Also, the item can be lost in the mail for any reason, which would stretch the loan amount out even further.
Is that how it is now? Like, seriously? And if so, how did everyone started putting up with eBay demanding a free loan to sell items? What year did this change? 😞

In the transaction, there's a ship now button.
Click and when ready to purchase the label, lower left gives you the option of paying for the label with your pending payments. Click and you'll pay for the label that way.

You can ask to buy label from your pending fund or pay with your own money.
No idea how to ask for it since i never needed such thing.

The shipping on that item was $3! Are you seriously saying that was a stretch for you? If so, selling on eBay is going to be fraught with issues for you. What happens the first time you get a return and you don’t have the money to refund the buyer? With zero cushion for such situations your eBay career will be over in a heartbeat. Every seller needs to plan for those possibilities. All new/returning sellers have holds placed on their funds until they prove themselves to be trustworthy.

No one is making loans to eBay. Ship using finds from PENDING PAYMENTS. Down at the bottom of the shipping label. They are not going to hold funds for shipping.

Weren't you aware you were going to need a printer to print the label before you listed your item for sale?
I do not understand.

You can get really good label printers for a good price, as a full time seller it is necessary to have one, but if you only sell on rare occasions you can get the post office to print it for you.
I have been imported from Australia and this is my posting ID

You can bring your phone and print it off at the shipping location usually.
