Where can i go to understand how Ebay is charging me? They ARE charging fees on the taxes collected, which is crazy and I lose money on each shipment, as they are taking avg 19.8% of overall sales. I thought we paid 12% on everything. Man, take me back 20 years when i could understand what was even going on. I can't keep track of my payments anymore, either without writing down everything by hand and then checking it agains my bank account. I see NO value for me, at all, in the tsunami of information about this year vs last year, % of this and that, etc. I am just a person getting rid of their stuff before i die and really don't care about last year vs this year. And on top of that, they are pushing my auctions to 8 automatic resisting and there is no way to stop it. The sad part is that whoever buys this one auction item will not get it, because i no longer have it. I will never post an item as an auction again and perhaps that is what they are pushing for. I feel like i am being herded like a goat, rather than led by a shepherd.

Take for example the large porcelain commode you just sold for $110, shipping $20, and say the buyer's state has 5% sales tax:
For the previous PayPal
$3.96 = 2.90% PayPal fee
$13.26 = 10.20% eBay FVF
$0.30 = fixed fee
$17.52 total fees for PayPal and eBay
For Managed Payments
$17.13 = 12.55% Simplified FVF
$0.30 = fixed fee
$17.43 total fees for Managed Payments
So it works out to be about the same fees, and varies on the buyer's sales tax.

@bigheadlulu Yes, they charge fees on virtually every penny that goes through their company ... the link below has a nifty chart showing fees in different categories for those in Managed Payments.
