Hold on payment

I have been selling off and on since 2003 &  have positive feedback of  595 but at the end of  2019, I moved an wasn't  able to sell items for a little over 2 years.   I just started to sell again,  and today April 29, 2022 sold an item  and was so happy until I learned that the payment has been put on hold. I now after to mail the item, with tracking # and wait till the buyer acknowledges that they received  it, only then will I get paid.  I'm not sure how that is fair what if they say they didn't receive it.  Also,  not everyone has the  extra money to mail something they sold and then possibly won't get paid for, if at all.  I  had to verify with ebay my bank and credit card info before I could start selling again.  So I am not sure what the problem is or why this is happening. I also would like to know how long they will be putting items I sell on hold, is this a one time thing to verify I am a good seller?

Re: Hold on payment

No, it's  not a one time thing. When you haven't sold in awhile eBay treats you like a new seller.

Paymrnts will be held until you have 25 feedbacks for selling, it's been 90 days and you've sold over $250.
