Help with Managed Payment and Paypal as account

So I got a pop up announcement today that I need to sign up for Managed Payments.  I didn't even know what that was so I learned all about it and then went to complete the process.  I filled out all the info and when it got to the banking information, I went to select Paypal since that is what I use as a bank account.  I Googled and found Paypal's routing number but the account number s actually just your email address.  But the EBAY form would not take an email address for account number - I guess it was expecting numbers only.  So now I don't know what to do.  How do I sign up with PayPal as my account I want my funds transferred to?  Does anyone know?  Thanks!

You need to get a checking account.   Paypal will not work.

Ummmm... OK.  I've been using Paypal since... well years and years and years.  Seriously like 20 years I think.  It's the only bank account I have ever had.  Why won't it work?   So if I don't have a checking account I can't sell on EBAY anymore?  That totally blows but I'm not opening a checking account just so I can sell a few things on EBAY.  *SIGH*

Has it right, you need a checking account to use MP and therefor eBay...

A current Thread regarding MP and not having a checking account - had a post suggesting using an on-line Bank (they claimed having no problems setting-up MP using a Chime account)

If you don’t want to open a regular bank acct, you can sell on other online platforms and use your personal PayPal cash acct routing number to receive payments.
