Ebay has dictated a change in my business model that does not work for me, and I am completely unhappy about being forced into managed payments.

1: Daily payments arriving 2 days later is 0.27% of your annual revenue.
There is no good business model that can not handle such trivial payment delays.
2: On 01/30/2018 eBay sent the message about processing payments.
They hadn't yet invented the name Managed Payments.
If you would have saved $1.00 a day, you would have $1,005.00 as a nest egg to cushion your cash flow.
3: The Holy Grail of the capitalist society is using "OPM" Other People's Money.
Buy your inventory and groceries with your credit card.
Pay that back in 30 days.

Same here. They have forced it on us, and it's beyond understanding. They've made so many changes, the whole situation is incomprehensible. And it's taking any sales money over a week to get anywhere near our checking account. These changes are not for our benefit, they're for THEIR BENEFIT.

Many folks agree with you, many don't.
If you want to continue being a seller on eBay, you'll have to learn to live with it.
Reimagine your business model.
Strap-in and tighten your belt, it'll be a bumpy ride.

Managed payments? I sold some items 4 days ago and today just got a message that my payout will take 4 days to reach my bank. How is this better? A total of 8 days and then I only get a third of the money owed to me? Pay with pay Pal the old way and boom! There is your money right in your account.
**bleep** Ebay?

Nobody said it was better; they said it's 'the way it is' (read between the lines)
Email said it will take UP TO 4 days, but it usually takes 2.

Yes, people see what they want to see. I see the payment in my bank the next day after Payout, even though eBay states it can take One UP TO 4 days.

None of this applies to my complaint.

There is no benefit to the customer/seller. To maintain my top rated seller discount, I must ship same day, but have to wait days to get paid.

I do not want business funds in my personal bank account.

For over 14 months my "payouts" have been available in my CU checking account the next business day after they were made. YMMV
The generic 3-4 day message may be to reduce the ..............................
For nearly 20 years eBay has waited for weeks for me to pay some of the fees associated with being a seller as they were invoiced monthly. Never did they scream, and pitch a fit because I did not pay the fees for listing, and selling at the very moment that it happened. Go figure.

@mr.tripod Open a 2nd checking acct and use that one for 'business in/business out'. I purchase things using that account (ATM card). I put $500 in there so when account is at $500, it's at 'zero', but this way there's coverage should there be a return 'hold' (and return hold is usually against 'pending' and if you have enough sales, the 'pending' will always cover a 'return hold').

I opted in a year ago and this was my main beef with MP. Now, sellers can use Pending funds to ship from. Try that until you get your feet on the ground. You can adapt... I did. Good luck!

If you want to continue to sell here, you'll have to make it work for you.
Once you get used to the change, it's not that bad.

My CU allowed me to have a second (no fee) checking account that I use for eBay to keep all separated as pre-MP.
Paperless online account strictly for eBay. No fee/no checks/no interest account. I transfer funds out of that account on a regular basis, but as corvettestainless posted, I keep enough of a balance in there to cover any holds that may not be covered by processing/pending funds, and for any eBay fees that may be invoiced.
