Gift Card Scam using the last 4 digits

Retailers sell eBay gift cards with a scratch PIN. Be aware that the first 9 digits of the PIN are in plain sight on the bottom left of the card. Once you scratch off just a few of the last numbers the scammer can figure the rest out easily.

Gift cards should NEVER be purchased.   There are more problems with them than all other items on eBay.

gift cards are just bad news

way too many scams with them

I think if you look at a  card in the store and scratch off the number is does not matter

I think gift cards are not valid until activated by the cashier

I also equate gift cards with checking out as a guest

I dont understand why ebay lets it happen

just say no to gift cards
