I did not receive a 1099K for my sales for 2024. Not by computer or by mail. Today is 1/30/24. Don't I have to claim nearly $ 9000.00 is sales on my Federal Return?
Can anyone out there advise me.

I would assume it will come out at some point today. I have not received it yet either. I wouldn't worry to much as eBay has to send it to us.

eBay has until January 31st by law.
Remember a year or two ago they gave 'everyone' a 1099K by mistake in the mail?...LOL

If you say you grossed nearly $9,000.00 in 2024 sales on eBay, I would certainly advise you to fill out your tax return forms to show that as your gross earnings from eBay.
As for advice on receiving Form 1099-K, my advice is Patience. Please try to hang on for another 13-24 hours. I know it's hard. Maybe you can distract yourself with something you enjoy, like a hobby or listening to music or exercise.

If you allow for electronic delivery of the 1099K, FYI, mine just landed a couple minutes ago.

It is up to you to now count all your expenses against the number on the form. What's left is the income/profit that IRS wants to know about.

That is what 1099k's have always reported. Gross Receipts. That means the total that came into your MP account WITHOUT consideration to fees, shipping costs or refunds.

That is what the law requires......they do not know your expenses......
Not exactly. The site that issues a 1099K is fully aware of any deductions that have been taken from that person's account over the year for fees, shipping and refunds on that site. It just isn't how the IRS designed the rules for this form.
