Form 1099-K // Detailed Report

As of January 29th, form 1099-Ks were uploaded and made available to eligible sellers in Seller Hub & My eBay. Sellers who sold over 200 items and $20,000 in 2020 while in managed payments should have received a 1099-K from eBay.

 

The Detailed Report that is meant to accompany the Form 1099-K was uploaded as of January 31st. Sellers will have received an email that their Form 1099-K is ready, as well as the report to help with reconciliation.  

 

Please note: a number of sellers who reside in states with additional reporting requirements have received a 1099-K, even if they have not met the 200/$20,000 threshold above:

 

  • Arkansas - $2,500 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • District of Columbia - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • Illinois - $1,000 in gross payments and a minimum of 4 transactions
  • Maryland - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • Massachusetts - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • Mississippi - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • New Jersey - $1,000 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • Virginia - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions
  • Vermont - $600 in gross payments with no threshold on the number of transactions

You are able to view and download your eBay Form 1099K in the following places:

 

Seller Hub

  • Go to the Payments tab in Seller Hub.
  • From the menu on the left, select Taxes.
  • Select the 1099-K Forms tab.

My eBay

  • Go to Payment Options in My eBay
  • Select Reports underneath your funds
  • From the dropdown menu, select 1099-K Forms

If you believe the information displayed on your form is incorrect (Name, Address, Tax ID (SSN, EIN, ITIN), or Gross Amounts), please request a contact from a payments-trained teammate who will be able to process your correction request.

 

Once processed, the digital copy can take 2-3 days to be updated. A physical copy will also be resent with the corrected information, which can take up to 7 days to receive.
