Final value fees are Higher

I am selling on this marketplace since long but under management payment system after selling an item on ebay charging more money. 

An example for the audience : Let say Item sold price $40 free shipping + ebay collects Sales Tax $3.68 =Total $43.68 from buyer. 

Now interesting part when ebay deducts fees,  calculating total amount ($43.68 x 12.35% ) +0.30 = 5.39+0.30 = $5.69 and deducts from item sold price that is $40-5.69 =  $34.31 losing more money.  Ebay never deducts final value fees from $43.68, my point is if a seller does put sales tax money in his pocket why ebay calculates its charges from total amount, not from item sold price?  If charging from item sold price it would be $5.24 and after deducting would be $34.76  So the difference would be $0.45  seller paying more. 

May be I am wrong but in this way I am losing more money. 

Have anyone noticed this calculation?

Yes, we have. When sales tax is above 5.7%, fees under MP are higher. When sales tax is 5.7% or below, fees under PayPal would be lower.

oh  yes there  higher  and don't fall below standard even more charges  and  don't forget there  new  20.00 fee  for  returns about 20% for me now  that manage payments  dinged me  for returns , tell ya a little story .started manage payments on Feb. 2nd before  that had a bill  from 15th to 15th each month .everything great ...........10 years no problems . on the 2nd 13 shipping charges from Dec and Jan that should have been on my bill. all the sudden .ding 7 times hits my  bank, overdraft and all. now they say  i  owe them money only 1.500.cool  but  now  that I've sold on manage payments 1.700 dollars .i say where's my money  they say fees. that's funny .had a monthly bill .before they forced me into ADYEN I REPEAT ADYEN  manage company not e bay new manage company..so now i went from top seller to below for dings on my account. and we all know  talking to e bay customer is like talking to kids . they don't know anything ,so i shut down my account .cause of this .
