Just an FYI. You should read the USPS guidelines for restricted items. I see that your listings show first class shipping. First class mail is sent by air (unless local).

Perfume containing alcohol may not be shipped internationally or mailed domestically using air transportation. Perfume containing alcohol, however, may be shipped within the United States by ground transportation.

Bufordys,
Unfortunately with all of the fraud, hacked accounts, theft, shoplifting, and etc. anytime when a new or returning seller sells a large dollar amount in a short time raises red flags. This is why funds are held to protect buyers and sellers.

Ebay also prefers that any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs. Thirty days on Ebay, six months on PP or a cc.And you wouldnt be the first seller to receive a positive feedback on an item, then have the buyer turn around and file an item not as described case against you.

Yes, buyers are the ones with all the power and they can and do lie and, yes, then the seller gets screwed. But if Ebay releases the funds of an infrequent seller like yourself who suddenly sold over $1,000 before the sales have had time to settle before the buyer can begin a scam then it is Ebay that can get screwed. It is well known that sellers will have their funds held in these situations. And that you need the money is irrelevant and not taken into consideration nor is it taken into consideration anywhere else in the business world. Nor is feedback taken into consideration. The only thing taken into consideration is risk. Your sudden sales of $1,000 represents understandable high risk to Ebay.

eBay is not a platform where sellers can register, make a quick buck, and get out. There are other platforms that may be more accommodating in that regard.
eBay's hold on payouts for new or infrequent sellers, high-dollar transactions, etc. are clearly laid out in black and white, had you taken the time to research the platform on which you were selling--kind of like reading the procedures manual at your new job:
From the above-linked page:
Additionally, we may place a transaction hold on funds depending on your seller status or the category you're selling in:
Similar information is also included in the User Agreement/Payment Terms of Use you indicated you had read and understood and agreed to when you signed on to be an eBay member/seller:
We reserve the right to manage the risks associated with providing you the Payment Services, by placing restrictions on your access to your funds when deemed necessary, as described in further detail below.
You agree that we may place holds on your funds or instruct a payment service provider to hold your funds, prior to disbursement. For the avoidance of doubt, if you receive funds to either a stored value account issued to you under eBay’s Balance Terms and Conditions or to a payment account, a hold may also be placed on such funds. If a hold is placed on your funds, the amount and status of the hold will be displayed under the Payments tab in the Seller Hub/My eBay. We will notify you through the eBay Message Center and/or by email and, depending on the reason, may request additional information from you to help resolve the issue. A hold may be placed if we have reason to believe there is an increased risk associated with the provision of our Payment Services or with a certain Managed Payments transaction; for example, if we cannot verify your identity or if your buyer files a dispute. Please see our holds help page for more detail on the hold types and examples. We take into consideration relevant factors when assessing the risks, including selling history, seller performance, returns and cancellations, chargebacks, riskiness of the listing category, transaction value, the ability to make direct debits from your Linked Financial Account, and the filing of eBay Buyer Protection Program claims. We also may cancel or freeze the settlement of your proceeds as necessary to comply with our legal obligations in connection with fraud prevention, risk management, or regulatory compliance. Any hold placed on your funds will be lifted when the issue is resolved.

I have preached that for years.

Well i read lots of it and no where does it say 1000 21 day hold

That's why eBay will lose ton s and tons of people when you sold something and its delivered and all good comments you should then be paid its bull!..
04-28-2022 07:26 AM
Why are you surprised? eBay says funds will be held until you have 25 feedbacks for selling.
You have quite a ways to go.
The funds should be released when tracking shows delivered, or in 21 days if there's no tracking.

eBay is not a good place for casual sellers to raise money in an emergency.
eBay offers buyers a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, so until you have built up a solid track record of recent sales you will be subject to holds.
eBay has very real and very legitimate concerns about sellers who want to raise money quickly because that leaves eBay holding the bag if a buyer later wants a refund.
