Ebay Pay Out

The new pay out system on Ebay really is bad.  Sold an item on March 3 and as of today, March 6 I have not received anything from Ebay.  I don`t ship until I have the cash in my bank.  This is one big reason I don`t list hardly ever on ebay anymore.  How long does it take you to get your payment from Ebay?

I have been on managed payments for 18 months,  Get my payouts weekly like clockwork.  Never an issue.  Been with Etsy since 2018 using Ayden and never an issue.  

Waiting until you actually have the funds in the bank IMO is unnecessary.   I ship when E bay says it is OK to ship.  They can very easily pull back that payment into your account.  You are just making it harder on the buyer and yourself.

If you don't ship until money in the bank, it won't be long until buyer opens INR case and gets his money back.    Then you won't have to worry about money getting to your bank.

Looks like,uuntil your recent sale, you havent sold anything for over a year, you will be subject to holds. Ebay prefers that any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs.

If you list hardly ever then when you do list you'll be treated like a new seller subject to new seller holds.

When your item changes from awaiting payment to awaiting shipment that's when your handling time starts. The buyer's payment is in the pay flow and can only be cancelled by you or by the buyer after they don't  receive their item by the delivery date.  

If you don't  ship when the buyer paid then plan on being a below average seller, and eventually you will be suspended from selling.

Then you might as well cancel the order and refund the buyer.

Since you haven't sold in awhile, your funds will probably be held for 30 days, before they release them.

It takes 3 full business days. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not business days.

If you got payment on Friday...it doesn't count as a full business day.

If in your case you got payment on Thursday it does not count as a business day.

Probably get your money on March 8th. No payments are ever paid out on Saturday, Sunday or a Holiday. 

Don't forget about those holidays in the future.

Ebay is set up now like a bank.

I opted into Managed Payments during August, 2018. It's not a "really bad"... my buyer's payment is my bank deposit in 4 business days. (Note that I'm not under any seller 'Holds', but you will be.) If the buyer has paid, you can opt to take the shipping cost from the funds on hold... but if you don't ship, you'll get a defect and no funds. It's your call...

Saturday and Sunday you won't get a deposit. So, basically, you've been waiting a whopping one day 🙄

Payment holds are forever is what I was just told by ebay...until item is delivered
