A buyer is saying they are paying with an e-check but not going through e-bay, because they don't want to list their banking information. How do they expect to get it to our account if they don't have our banking information? I think this is a scam...any ideas here would help. New to this game.

Scam put them on your blocked bidders list and stop communicating with them: wait 4 days and cancel listing sating buyer did not pay.

Guarantee it's a scam. They don't want to list their banking information because they want to scam you without getting caught. They will send you a fake e-mail telling you that you have been paid, hoping you fall for it. Just don't communicate with them any more.

They can't hide their banking info from Adyen or PayPal. The seller has no idea how a buyer pays and they are never given the buyer's banking info. So their reasoning is whacko.
Do not ship anything until the order goes from Awaiting Payment to Paid, Awaiting Shipment.

Fab , I have not seen E-checks offered as payment option by paypal in a long time as payment option.

The Payment Methods on my listings don't include e-checks. I'd wait to see if the seller really pays... if they do, eBay will tell you that the item is 'Awaiting shipment'. If you don't see that message after 4 calendar days, you can cancel the order on Day 5, citing 'Buyer didn't pay'. Good luck to you.

Ebay doesn't accept e-checks for payment. If they can't pay with the payment options ebay provides, they probably won't. Wait 4 days... day 5 no payment? Cancel and cite payment not received as the reason. Block them too. Don't accept any other payment methods and don't provide any either. I am also smelling a scam. Good luck.
