Recently had a buyer go directly to their financial institution regarding a duplicate charge.
I reviewed everything, uploaded sales info and what not to show that there was not duplicate charge, they only paid once. They uploaded nothing. I also uploaded the tracking to show that the product had been received.
PayPal closed the case against me, despite the buyer showing nothing. No screenshots, not even a message, just a case filed, and despite the fact I proved I wasn't paid twice.
Because of that, I am now out the product, the sales revenue, and the chargeback fee assessed to me (For God knows what reason).
I contacted eBay about this, PayPal about this, and eBay filed a report against the buyer and PayPal literally told me that they can't do anything about this because it's their financial institution.
I asked what would stop all of my buyers from doing this and charging me tens of thousands in chargeback fees, not one, not two, but three different PayPal reps told me that there isn't anything from stopping them doing this.
