Transfer went through but I didn’t get charged?

Hey. I use eBay managed payments. My payout was sent and about a day after, I had to send someone a refund. Since the payout at first failed since I have just gotten my account unrestricted, the money wasn’t in the balance. eBay than charged my bank the refund that would’ve just went out of the balance. After it charged, I realized that the transfer was shown as complete and said everything went through and issued the refund. My bank account didn’t have enough to cover the refund. Since I have a bank which doesn’t accept transactions that will cause me to go to a negative balance, I expected an error to happen and for them to ask me to pay for the refund with another card. Surprisingly, I wasn’t charged on my bank. There has been no charge on my bank. On eBay is says it went through and I wasn’t charged for this. I’ve sent refunds from my card many times before and it went through the same day and charged my card. What happened?

I only had one bank linked and I personally on my have 2 banks and debit cards lol and nope I wasn’t charged at all
