I have been on daily payouts for my eBay sales for quite some time. eBay would send payouts every day, seven days a week. Now I see that they are not sending out payouts on Saturday and Sunday mornings like they always have. These funds are being held by eBay and not sent out until Monday. My bank is quick to accept by early the next business day. So funds that I would normally get into my bank account on Monday (when eBay sent them out Saturday and Sunday) are now not arriving until Tuesday. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't remember seeing any policy update from eBay about this change. eBay's "Getting Paid For Items You've Sold" page still says, and I qoute:

A quick search of the forums will show that this has been an intermittent issue for some time.
I do payouts on demand so am not familiar with the problem you raise.

It's not really an intermittent issue, it's an intentional policy change implemented very recently, likely with the goal of purposely adding a small amount of "friction" to the payout process in order to "nudge" sellers to use the express payout option for a fee.
And no, you aren't crazy - you don't remember seeing any updates about it because eBay hasn't made any proactive public announcements, they just quietly changed the policy page to add a new "how weekends affect your payouts" section that didn't used to be there.
Like you pointed out it does still say they are "initiating" payouts Monday - Sunday but it appears now all they mean by that is they will show the payout process started in your Payments tab on weekends...however, they won't actually process it for settlement to the bank until Monday, which is the part that has changed.

i'm still trying to get to the bottom of it, the last "rep" i talked to and the one before said it might be a glitch, but no clear answers yet

Been that way for at least pay 6 months, but in reality, I don't EVER remember getting a deposit on Sat/Sun or Holidays. Looked back as far as June and deposits were Friday, then Monday and that way EVERY weekend since.
Just checked last December (2023) NEVER got a deposit on Weekend OR Holiday (Xmas and New Years as well)

there is a difference between ebay payouts and payments processed by your bank.....
I have been getting ebay payouts daily for YEARS, like several and trust me I watch my money very carefully, I have a lot of "accounts" not on ebay just financial accounts so I have my eye-on-the-ball
I just reached out again, the rep I spoke with the 1st time was told it is part of a "test" but again not clear, so still waiting on final word. something is "up" with payouts at least for some
**also it should be noted you would not receive a payment on Monday if a payout was not sent the day before unless you have instant payments that process the same day,. so that means you would have had a payout sent on a Saturday/Sunday at the very least that were processed on Monday

They are intentionally holding daily payments back wanting you to sign up with their instant payouts for even more money. I am not paying them even MORE money for a fee for instant payout. This is getting out of hand with their fee's as it is. I've been selling on eBay since 2002 & I've been looking around for other platforms. I've been extremely loyal to them over these years. I am tired of the games.
Thankfully I don't need the money like some people, but stop being so greedy to your remaining sellers. I've always gone above & beyond to treat my buyers well shipping 2x a day, 6 days a week. Also why is it fair to ship items out even before you get paid for them many days or a week+ later? Just a thought...

non-issue for me. My CU does not process them on Sat/Sun.
A Monday "payout would be available around noontime. (Monday)

Yes that's exactly what I just read

Yes this annoys me so much

This is how it was when managed payments first started and people raised h#@l because it just delayed our payments and extra day. So they started initiating Saturday and Sunday as well. Nobody would get their money on sat or Sunday BUT those payments were in the que waiting on Monday and would process. NOW the only thing that will process on a Monday is the payment initiated on the previous Friday. This results in our weekend payments not showing up until at least Tues...... Delayed another day.
I agree that this is what causing an intentional slowdown to the payment processing to try and force more people into the on demand payment system for a fee ...... It's just so sad that a company has to create the problem to have a solution for a fee. Also as noted in the fine print.... Once initiated the payment is no longer considered in eBay's control or bank account SO things give them another 2 days of our money making interest in the "float" for them. Not a game changer for the average seller/person but when you're handle tends if millions of dollars, it's a nifty way to boost profits.
If only eBay would put half the effort into actual improvements instead of sneaky ways to cheat the sellers out of money....
