I keep getting eBay reminders to "Update your account details by May 21, 2021, or your ability to revise or relist existing listings, or create new listings will be disabled."
EBay then requests that I add a bank account, but I do not wish to do so because they ask for my bank's sign-in/password information. I do not understand why I can not just advise eBay of my bank's routing number/account #. Releasing my bank's sign-in/password is a security issue for me.

If you do not wish to supply the information requested by eBay, then, as indicated in the reminders, your ability to revise or relist existing listings or created new listings will be disabled.

@mulhouse- You have options other than logging in with your bank credentials. If you don't wish to change over to the new payment system then you should take down your listings- some sellers get stuck selling items then unable to access their funds because they didn't switch over.
Logging into your bank
When verifying your account, if your bank is available in the Add a bank account list, you can select it and log in directly with your bank credentials. This is the most secure and fastest way to verify your checking account.
Using micro-deposits
If your bank isn't available in the Add a bank account list, or you would prefer not to verify your account by logging in with your bank credentials, you can choose to verify your account with micro-deposits.
We'll send two micro-deposits (small payments) to your linked checking account. To verify your account, you'll need to confirm the amount of the micro-deposits transferred. Sign into My eBay or Seller Hub and follow the banner information to enter the micro-deposit amounts.
It can take a few days for the micro-deposits to reach your checking account, depending on the financial institution. Once verification is complete, the micro-deposits will be withdrawn from your checking account.
Providing your bank statement
If we can’t verify your linked checking account using one of the methods above, you may need to send us a color picture of a recent bank statement for that account. If we need this additional information, we’ll send you an email with instructions on how to upload the image.
Please make sure that the bank statement:
Your image can be in JPEG, JPG, PDF, or PNG format. The maximum file size is 10 MB.
If you don’t want to upload a bank statement, you can upload a voided check. Your name, bank name, routing number, and account number will need to be visible.
