Good morning & thanks for this great resource.
I've consulted these pages for years when different problems arose but now I have to post a message because I can't figure something out and I need assistance.
I'm trying to determine my sales totals for the year and I can't seem to figure it out. With the migration over to Managed Payments earlier in the year some of my sales show up on PayPal but eBay just gives me a YTD (June 30 2020 to now) total sales amount.
I'm looking to determine my 2021 sales as I'm seeking to stay under the 1099K threshold for my state (Illinois).
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

What does getting a 1099 have to do with reporting your income?

Oh I always do a Schedule C every year but I can't seem to figure out my total sales for the year.
With eBay changing their formats I can't seem to figure out my total sales for this year.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!

You can get a list of your sales for the last 90 days on your orders page. eBay doesn't go back with specifics further than that. If you click the down arrow, there are other report options.
My suggestion for future sales tracking is to, at the beginning of each month, download your sales for the previous month from the orders page. Other than that, the only thing I know that you could do is deduct your sales for 6/30/20 to 12/31/20 from the total sales listed from June 2020 to now.

I'm looking to determine my 2021 sales as I'm seeking to stay under the 1099K threshold for my state (Illinois).
and just an FYI ... the number you are looking for would be your gross receipts.
You are located in a state that has a Market place facilitator ( sales tax) law in place.
Your gross receipts would be:
total sales price + total shipping received from the buyer, BEFORE any refunds were issued.

The threshold for getting a 1099-K for most states was $20000 previously. Are you aware that the threshold for Illinois beginning last year is only $1000 > 4 transactions? (Perhaps you already knew this ... if not, see this https://sovos.com/blog/trr/a-lowered-federal-1099-k-threshold-gains-national-attention/ .) I'm in Illinois and have a couple eBay accounts and I got a 1099-K from eBay even on the one that sold much less than $20000 for 2020.
You might find this report helpful as you can generate it for the current year if you like and even download details if you like

MP offers reports; run one for each month (change the dates) so you are not overwhelmed with a complete year on 1 report (unless you only had few sales)

Go here to REPORTS:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/report
Under Transaction Types select only ORDERS.
Select the Date Range and click Create Report.
Open the results in Excel and total the Gross Transaction column.
Here you can also order other reports, but be careful as ebay is still tweaking the output, so be careful you understand what is being presented in each column before sorting or subtotaling on it.

Unless you have sold very little on Ebay this year, the threshold in your state is really low. These 1099Ks issued for your state requirements is also shared with the IRS.
