Here's a heads up to Buyer's purchasing from a Money Management Seller. If there is a problem, you are left to the side of the road until eBay decides to refund the money. Made a purchase, the seller had not shipped. Contacted Seller and informed, paid during buying process thru Pay-Pal. He informed that he was not showing being paid, but my station showed paid. Contacted Pay-Pal, informed seller was paid thru eBay's Money Management Program and eBay was holding the funds. Contacted Seller again, I filled a complaint w/Pay-Pal and all hell broke loose. His account was locked, no funds coming in at all. Asked if I would drop the claim, he would issue a refund. Did as he asked, was not really his fault and since that time, 11 days later. eBay will not talk nor inform as to status of $400.00. That alone would deter me from using their Mickey Mouse Management System. And I have since learned eBay and Pay-Pal will not communicate. But yet they eBay will gladly suck up your payment from Pay-Pal. Learned a valuable lesson. Before buying, msg the seller and see if he is under Money Management!

Your mistake was dropping the claim. You never do that until you have been refunded. Once a claim has been closed it cannot be reopened.

Even easier than messaging the seller... look for the Google Pay logo in the listing's 'Payments' section... if it's there, they've been inducted. All sellers will be using Managed Payments by the end of the year. Good luck.

@rihen51 The program is called "Managed Payments", not Money Management. Sellers don't have their money put on hold at the time or purchase ... it takes days for eBay to Pay Sellers, THAT'S how the system works. Sellers have to ship within their Handling time to avoid a Late shipping defect so some, unfamiliar with how it works, WAIT to get their money before they ship ...

No winners.

Lots of losers! Many of us truly did not do anything wrong, we were forced...

Thank you for your correction of whatever you call it. I paid almost 400.00 to get ripped by a system that seems to have created many problems from the other people who seem to be having the same problem. And yes, per the seller, the system did not post the payment and had not done so after 4 days. Where I am from, we call that holding your funds. And no, he had not shipped by handling time. I am the victim, not the scammer. Thanks, you were a great help.

No, my mistake was trusting eBay! I ran a business for over 40 years and believe me, I know rip when I see it. I never would have operated forty years if I screwed over customers like I have been treated by eBay. No help from Pay-Pal. no help from eBay. Next in line, Bank and I already know their answer, Buyer Beware when purchasing from the WEB!

Thank you, sound advice.

If it is an expensive item, we all must to understand that seller wants to get paid prior to shipping the item.

Just as we were forced to use paypal.

A couple of questions. How long was the seller's handling time? How long since paying did you contact the seller? What type of dispute did you file with PayPal (and why not file a claim on ebay?)
