When can we get an option to require immediate payment with "Best Offer"? I do seem to get several "Best Offer"s that end up with non-payments..... I can set my listing up for Fixed Amount, and have "Immediate Payment Required", but I can't set it up for Fixed Amount+Best Offer+Immediate Payment Required. WHY!!!!!

Poshmark has figured out how to require payment from buyer after seller accepts offer.
The buyer must confirm payment method and shipping address prior to the offer being sent.
If seller accepts offer, the payment is processed.

I was just about to say this. If you are a member, you are already set up to pay. If you are a guest who found it on Google, you register your payment method. Either way, payment is instant. Now, Posh holds the payment until the buyer accepts the item. But as soon as they do, Bam, the payment is released to the seller.

When an offer is accepted by a seller, by contrast, the item listing is ended at that time, regardless of whether the buyer is aware of it or even online at the time.
The seller cannot pull a payment from an unwilling buyer.
And yet other sites seem to be able to do this just fine. I sell on another site that allows buyers to make an offer. If I accept, the payment method is immediately charged. If the payment fails, the sale is closed and the item remains for sale. If it goes through, the sale is final and I am to ship it out.
If smaller selling sites can do this, rest assured, eBay can to.
If you insist on using the offer feature, you can avoid unpaid items by not accepting an offer once your receive one. Instead, lower the item price to the offer (or counteroffer) amount. That encourages the offer-er to act quickly (since any user can take advantage of the new low price) and it keeps the item listed until a user completes checkout and pays.
Making a counteroffer doesn't force the buyer to pay as soon as they accept. They can still hold off on paying. It even says that when you submit the counter offer that the buyer is not required to pay immediately.
Again, if smaller sites can make a buyer pay, eBay can too. They just won't.

How do we know where the buyer is or what the buyer is doing when you accept their offer?
You accept their offer at 4 AM when they're sleeping.
You accept their offer at 10 AM while they're at work.
You accept their offer at 8 PM when they are on a flight to Chicago.
Yet for some reason other sites manage to force payment as soon as a best offer is accepted by the buyer. It can be done and is being done on many other sites regardless of time zone differences or what the buyer is doing at the time. eBay just doesn't want to do it. I have no idea why but I am glad to hear that next year immediate payment for best buy is going to happen. It has been long needed.

Looks like this is an option now. Not sure how new the feature is but I've made offers in the last few weeks that said something to the effect of "if the seller accepts the offer, your card will be automatically charged this amount." I have a credit card linked for payment so it might not be available if the buyer only has paypal as a funding source. I don't know, just guessing.

You are absolutely right , I sell on Postmark and EBay.
Postmark does have it figured out big time , when you send a offer to a buyer they have to accept and
pay right at that time. On eBay they accept offer and then write to me and say cant pay for a week lol
and it pulls off buyers who want it and would pay.
I am to the point i don't want to send best offers anymore just buy it now
but this is hard cause i need to make sales, so catch 22.
eBay better get this figured out cause it is happening tons
now and i am ready to pull all my stuff off and sell only at postmark.
