Bank Account Verification

I have received a message stating that micropayments have been sent to my bank in order to verify the accounts. One bank account was CHARGED $0.05 on 12/27/2022. There has been no other form of deposit or charge on any other bank accounts. How does this happen?

So the deposit was made in a DIFFERENT account than the one you signed up with eBay on?

Did you sign up before (sometime after 2019) ? You must've given eBay that routing & account number as there is no possible way they would know it. 

You should also get 2 deposits- are you saying you only got 1?

It wasn't a deposit. I opened my account more than 10 yrs ago. I only got one, and it was a charge, not a deposit to my main bank account

You are selling things. Did you do a refund? Did you list something with anything extra? What does your 'PAYMENTS' tab show; you can run a 'REPORT' from the Payments tab.

Sounds like you were short .05 for some reason so eBay will take it from the bank account.

I received zero deposits since December 20. I am suspending my selling and buying activity. I must be an exception, but I don't trust this message.

Actually, the problem has been resolved. My bank account was verified today
