Bank Account Verification Failed ebay refuses to pay me

Member 21 years. Listed and sold an item and buyer paid, and confirmed receipt. Ebay then notified I need to add a checking account as a new payment method. I get errors my bank can't be verified. All numbers entered are correct (verified with my bank). My daughter uses same bank and is an ebay seller. Ebay refuses to accept my bank and insists I must get a different bank before they will pay me. I have contacted customer service several times and now they email me saying that they will not take action to resolve this. They owe me $210. What would you do?

The same BANK, or the same bank ACCOUNT?

The bank account must match the name on the Ebay account exactly.  If the name on your Ebay account is John Smith and the bank account is John Q. Smith, you'll need to edit your Ebay personal info to match that of the bank account.

I've read of users 'tricking' the bank info entry screen by scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the list of bank's names and selecting 'My bank is not listed here' (or whatever the verbiage), then manually entering the bank's name, routing and checking numbers.

I have no thread to reference, but it may be worth a shot. Sometimes it's Workarounds R Us on here, I'm just sayin'...

Account settings/Personal information/Personal info. Tick 'Edit' to make changes, then Save.

I don't know what you mean by "exit option". Are you wanting to close your account, or change the name?

Meant to say edit option. I need to change my name on my account.

You'll see 'Personal info' on the left and the hot (blue) 'Edit' button on the right. 🙌

I tried every way. All the information is correctly entered and I agree to the use of the account as the final thing and then I get the error in the red box. I even used a different computer that has never had ebay on it.

Also.... my bank account has my middle initial and ebay account does not. EVERY customer service representative including the supervisor told me that didn't matter. I had been trying to add Mt middle initial on my ebay account and can't find a way. I'll try that on the desktop site and see if it's possible.

I'm on a desktop, and there is a field for your middle initial. It CAN be edited... hang in there!

Well call this a New Years Eve miracle but I used a different laptop and now my ebay name has the middle initial.  Now let's see if my prayer is answered and I can add my checking account.

I believe I discovered a problem ebay IT will need to correct. My ebay account name DOES include my middle initial and may have always been. When I am in the window "Add a bank account" the Account holder name appears without my middle initial. The field is "grayed" and can't be edited. I will try customer support on Tuesday business hours and make another attempt. At this point it's not so much the loss of $210 but the agony this has caused me.

If you are saying your BANK ACCOUNT middle initial is grayed out then you would need to change that info with your bank.
