Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

New seller on eBay, sold first batch of items worth over $23,000 ( 17 units ) shipped 14 via fedex, then 3 via Canada post , uploaded all tracking details, fedex items were delivered, Canada post was also delivered but buyer says he received fedex shipment but not Canada post items whereas tracking shows items have been delivered, I requested a call from eBay to inform them of the ordeal . Few days later Canada post items were found by the buyer, I also let eBay know about this. Funds were held for 30 days and supposed to be released feb 21 and feb 22. Today is 25th and nothing yet, I called customer care they claimed to have sent me an email which I didn’t receive, the only email I received was concerning tracking information of items shipped which I couldn’t reply to and I called them instead. I just shipped another set $6,000 worth  with an estimated payment release date of march 22nd. How am I supposed to run my business and get new items if I am not paid on time. This is really depressing.
called customer care everyday, they said account is still under review , account specialists haven’t responded to their emails yet.  I have bills to pay, and this is so frustrating as I beginning to think the best possible legal action.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

So before sending I take pictures of the item sent , and ask the buyer to confirm receipt of the pictures sent once delivery has been completed

All your pictures will prove is you can take pictures.

Buyer can still file an INAD and ship back an empty box and you would have to refund.

Have a great day.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

Wow, that’s scary.  Update from the team , last week they asked for tracking information for items I already shipped and uploaded the tracking details on the portal, don’t they have access to those Details, if they don’t I already submitted tracking info to the call representatives. Well I uploaded as needed, got a response today morning I should upload receipts,( why didn’t they ask for everything at once instead of waste time ) I added my driver’s license and utility bill to the purchase receipt to avoid getting an email next week requesting for them 😂😂😂😂

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

Latest update, got an email this evening saying my account has been permanently restricted after submitting the required documents. I called customer care and they said its because they want to work on releasing my funds to my bank account. eBay is really strange .

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

Sorry to hear of the continued troubles.

How is it that "you called" eBay customer service? They do not have a phone number to call.

If you did in fact talk to eBay customer service, I would be very careful for what I would take as fact.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

Now my account has been permanently restricted, this is really bad, they are saying I wouldn’t get my funds until after 2 months . I can’t wait for 2 months . I guess I have to take them to court .

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

If you are speaking with the overseas, "get a callback reps", they more than likely do not really know when you might get a payout.

Here in the states, those funds are transferred to the seller's state to unclaimed property and the seller can pick up the money there. It is quite an extended timeframe, perhaps up to 6 months. Not sure anyone could give a seller the exact date.

I dont know how that works in Canada. Unless the laws are different in Canada, you will have a tough time suing eBay because to the eBay User Agreement you are binded to when you listed your first item.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

The Mentiors and the other experienced members here  could see this permanent restriction coming.

Taking pictures is not proof the item was delivered.

The only proof eBay goes by is tracking uploaded on eBay within your handling time. It must indicate it's a Signature Delivery for items over $750 , and show delivered by the expected delivery date.

Your receipts won't  be accepted if you're  selling named brand items purchased from China, the Counterfeit  Capital of the World.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

Honestly, I hope you do get the funds in 60 days. Though don't  count on it.

When you're  permanently suspended eBay doesn't  like holding the bag if a buyer files a chargeback, which most cards allow for 6 months.

Just saying don't  rely on something said in a call back. They read from scripts and tell you anything to get you off the phone and on to the next call. They've been known to give you  the wrong information.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

I will call them everyday for the next 60 days until I get my money then . This is crazy , buyer has confirmed receipt of all packages sent, 30 days hold has expired, it’s been 42 days now, if they say at the beginning it’s 3 months before I get paid I would look elsewhere to sell my wares.

Re: Account restriction available funds cannot be transferred

For shipped  items the buyer confirming  delivery is not the proof that eBay goes by that it is delivered. They want to see "delivered." And "signature" if applicable in  online viewable tracking.

They don't message you and tell you about payment holds.  They expect your to read about selling and getting paid before you list.
