Account is still on hold after I’ve updated it multiple times over the last 3 weeks!

I have updated my account info 3 times just like I was asked. All 3 times it said that I was all set and it may take a couple days for everything to go through. It still is not resolved and again says that “my payouts are on hold until I update my account details! This time it says update by Aug 03, 2021. Like I said I have already done it 3 times!!

Why is there not a phone number to talk to anybody on eBay this is ridiculous! The beat is the AP surely to goodness a force them to have somebody on staff to answer calls when you’re having problems!

this new id thing is totally out of control.  ebay needs to be taken down.  it is illegal to hold funds.  i just got off the phone with them and it is all bull**bleep**.  they want your id after they got your ss and bank acct info.  when you open a bank acct you show your id and that should be good enough!

We users are "most bothered" by the illegal "temporary" holding of funds from the sale !?

IT'S UNBELIEVABLE, temporary confiscation of my funds... I create content, ie sell,  send it to the buyer and they keep the money until I confirm my identity and bank account via AI mashine !

"ID Thing" is imposed by the regulatory bodies of the state, although no one states which law ? Is it international, state, intergalactic, cosmic !?

Why does eBay have this policy?

This policy helps ensure that government regulations are followed.

We are stuck in millions of ordinances, regulations, laws and all because of human mistrust. The cause and generator of this situation is money, the existence and creation of which the governor of the Croatian National Bank claims to arise from nothing EX NIHILO !

I'm having the exact same problem and I knew absolutely nothing about "Managed Payouts" until after I'd sold something (I average one or two listings per year) only to discover that they were holding onto it until my account was verified. I find it odd that when the money is going in, the same process takes a few seconds and I'm going on a week now and every time I log on to my account, the thing that I'd gotten the "all clear" on hours ago, says once again, needs to be updated. Cynical as it sounds, considering the number of sellers ebay has, hanging on to payments even an extra day would probably yield more money than I've seen in my lifetime and I'm not a kid by a long shot. AFter this, ebay is history for me.
