Account Suspended, what about my funds.

Hello, my friend recently got permanently suspended from ebay. The reason is unknown but that is not the topic. He had 1k+ in funds that were supposed to be available for payout in a few days. We were wondering when he will receive those funds since he sold and worked for them. Thanks

Your friend  probably won't get those funds right away if they were suspended. If they were selling something against policy is the reason they were suspended then eBay will probably hold the funds until there's  no danger of the buyer returning it. 

Just curious but why were they suspended?

The reason was unspecified, they only said violating ebay policy. Do you have any idea what type of time wait it will take? Like a month, 2 months.

Probably 6 months or longer.

If you don't get it by 60 days  then don't  look for it from eBay.  Unpaid funds are turned over to the treasury department's unclaimed funds in your state. (Escheatment)

First, if you really are your friend, this account will also be suspended if the 2 accounts share the same IP address.  Eventually ebay will catch up and close this new account if they think that you are your friend.  Did your friend set up Managed Payments?  Did he/she have a checking account and was it verified by ebay.  Did Ebay ask for a valid ID and a social security number?  If your friend failed to provide any of these,  he/she will not see a cent.

Did ebay ask for receipts for the items?  Can he/she provide the receipts proving that the items are legit and NOT stolen.

Why don't you have your friend contact Ebay on the Facebook page.   When he/she gets to the page, they need to click MESSAGE and then state privately what their Ebay ID was , their name and email address.  Briefly explain the situation.   Someone will look into the account and give you a better idea of what (if anything) can be done to get back on ebay.   Your friend will need to be truthful.  The folks there will have access to the emails and the items that your friend sold.   Goodluck.

well your friends best bet to get their money would definitely be asking eBay whats up and not you or anyone on this page. If they ask eBay for their money/whats the problem, they will most likely get their money. If they don't say anything, its going to be a hell of a whole lot harder to get the money if there is a problem.

Nope. The OP doesn't get payouts to Payoneer. Payouts to U.S. sellers go into their checking account.

Hi there, I'm in the same boat as yours.. Ive been with eBay for at least 15 years... Last year I HAD to create a new account because we moved from Europe to the United States.... Well I listed 1 item for sale, sold it, shipped it, and the day after my account was permanently suspended because apparently I am a risk to society..... Now I have 3000usd in that account. I called a few Times, well requested a call back, impossible to call eBay.... Never any help, I was told it can be up to 180 days.. or in might have to wait a year and find the money in Massachusetts find my money.gov....  BEST part is that they Now I cannot request a call back anymore... I had to use.my wife's account to ask for a call back.... **bleep** EBAY.  my wife is a lawyer, we are preparing a law suit, and a about to file here in small claims court... Again **bleep** EBAY

They don't give you a reason.  I sold a Rolex watch, original with all paperwork, went thru eBay autheticator system, was delivered and everything... That was 45 days ago... I was banned because I pose a risk to the ebay community.... If ask what risk or why, they don't know anything.... Worst customer support I have ever exoerienced.   My wife is a lawyer, we have a small claims law suit against eBay...

Don't understand your comment.  As the other person observed, US payments go into the seller's bank account.  And, yes, that's how it works.
