Account Restricted due to eBay blunder

eBay put my "funds on hold" until I provide my paperz, which I did, both state issued driver's license and my bank statement. Now they send me another automated mail saying the name's didn't match!

They're the EXACT SAME NAMES!  Meanwhile, THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY! 💸💸💰

Anyway, I'm tired of the piddling **bleep** and the new fees they steal from me. 

thankfully there are so many much better websites to sell from. I get ten times the sales on the site in my title.  So it's adios eBay can't wait to see you go the way of myspace and friendster

You would have to end your listings first, and wait until all your transactions are completed.

Yeh they wont let you close account because you still have active listings and may owe ebay (subscriptions and all) : and still  you will be liable for any actions such as item not received and items not as described etc...

Crazy stuff that they still after all the time MP has been ongoing they can not help the user get the account straight...

I clicked on the wrong button; I was on the phone. Anyhoo, you have no solution. You tow the eBay line, drink the eBay kool-aid.  I predict that ebay is getting trounced by Amazon, Walmart and Facebook. Rightfully so,  policies will shutter this dinosaur. Just watch.

Now, if you could only learn how to manage your account and get paid. Reading is FUNdamental.

I’ve been on these boards for 15 years. There has never been a change that someone didn’t think would be the end of eBay. 

You don’t want to leave or you would have shut it down already. There is no reason to keep your listings active and not have a way to get paid for the sales. 

Try not to confuse a feedback number with eBay knowledge. 
Knowing how eBay works works has nothing to do with kool-aid. After reading the factual answers you have received here, you now know how eBay works, too. 
It might not be what you wanted to hear, but it was good advice.

1. Many folks who come here to answer questions have more than one eBay ID, maybe a buying ID, a selling ID and an answering-questions-on-the-Boards ID.  So there is no way to know exactly for sure whether or not a person who posts here has thousands of FB as a seller or has never sold a single thing on eBay.

2. Have noticed quite often that, when someone comes here and asks for help or advice, they want the advice to agree with them.  If it doesn't, then the responder is accused of being an eBay employee.  Why is that?

I see. Well mr. know it all (or ms. or non-binary) I guess I should just accept whatever nonsense ebay chooses to throw at me; jump over every hoop they put in front of me and remain complacent? How's that working for you? I didn't come here to rant; I am RELIEVED to have found alternative sales platforms that do not CONSTANTLY change the rules for sellers. That's it. You and all the happy ebay elves can stay on board this sinking ship. (does one really toe a line? that is a bizarre image) Thanks for the condescending useless advice too. Toodles noodles.

They may not let you close your account (since you may be on the line for refunds for the next 60 days), but they'll let you buy out your store subscription. Consider all the options... you have some good 'stuff' for eBay listings. Good luck to you...

Yes, it's a choice, do what needs to be done to get paid or rant about how you can't.
