1.5 months of managed payment issues. HELP!!!

Since December 4th, not a single one of my payouts have gone through. I was not aware of this since I did not receive an email about any of them from eBay. On January 2nd payments from buyers would not go through. At first when I contacted customer service representatives they did not see anything wrong with my account, and said the payment issue was on the buyer's side, but when buyers called they were told the issue was on the seller's side.

When I had more than two buyers with the same issue, it was obvious that the issue is on my side. The idea was I needed another verification. I was told that there should have been a banner in my seller's hub, but it never showed up. Finally, a week later, I received a verification email, and it went through and verified me, but yet again there were NO changes. Per one of many customer service representatives I've talked to, since no payment went through for a month, my account went dormant. I have been in contact with probably 10 customer service reps for the past 3 weeks, and even after talking to them nothing has changed. My account is still dormant and having the same issues.

I run a small business. I'm on a huge minus and I'm losing customers. I've had to cancel transactions because buyers are unable to pay since January 2nd, I haven't received any payouts since December 4, 2020, and right now is January 15, 2021. I have a business bank account which has not changed for many years. I've been selling on eBay for over 15 years and have never had any issues.

Why is there no "Plan B" for sellers, when there is a payment issue that hasn't been resolved in such a long amount of time? I am selling on another selling app as well and have no issues with payments to the same bank account, so it is not an issue on my end.

Who can I contact to resolve this issue, ASAP? When should I expect my account to be active again? I've talked to many customer service representatives and although they have tried to help, nothing has been fixed.

Is the info on the account EXACTLY the same as on your eBay account??

At this time you might think about opening an account separate from your normal one.

When contacting eBay about this ask for a payment specialist as regular CS reps can do nothing about all of this.

And yes they need a great deal more customer service in this mess of the change over for folks like you.

Per one of many customer service representatives I've talked to, since no payment went through for a month, my account went dormant.

Is this the way MP works?

If I go on vacation for a month, will my account go "dormant", and will I have to re-verify/re-whatever my MP account?  Arghhh!  It was hard enough to set up the *** thing in the first place.

If I knew how to summon on of that new Payments_team@ebay people mentioned at top of this board, I'd ask to get an official answer.

That is a good point. I am assuming it went dormant because payments were declined for over a month... so hopefully it will not happen if we are on vacation.

Ebay ruined it for all of us what was working well - they like when we struggle. Very greed driven. Welcome to Mismanaged Payments.

1.5 months of managed payment issues. HELP!!!

The info have not changed from August. I had no problem with payouts from August to December 2nd. No changes on the account. One of the reps had an idea... that payments should go to my last name, not business name as it is set on ebay.  I just called my bank and they said ANY name my business (since it is business account) or last name will work. They will accept payment either way as they did before December 2nd. And, I did talked to Payment specialist once in the past 3 weeks and I have requested to talk to a supervisor. I hear different ideas and non of them work. We even re-entered my bank account info. I do not know what to do and there is no way to talk to any one only CS reps who promise to call back with the solution with in 48-72 hours... and there are were many 48-72 hours in the past 3 weeks... NO changes. I am charged store fees while the store is not working as it should... It is very stressful and frustrating situation.

Might be time to contact your State Attorney General, possibly the Federal Trade Commission.

After I was declared "in" by MP, I had payouts fail only for the first 3 weeks--less than a month.  I guess that's why I didn't fall into the trap you are in.

I finally remembered that the answer to all things is Google and using their search, discovered what the MP problem was and was able to solve the mess.  Trying to find an answer/help anywhere on eBay (including the boards) was impossible.  I never tried the FB page.

  1. As of January 20, 2021 my account is still inactive. I have not been paid since December 4, 2020. CS reps cannot get through to the payment department to get a banner or an email for whatever documentation eBay needs to activate my account. I HAVE every paper eBay would need. I have a REGISTERED business. I sell on eBay for a living. I have lost a lot of sales and had to cancel many items. This is WRONG on so many levels. I have talked to 8 different CS reps. One of them was from the payment department. I have heard a LOT of different versions of the WHY this could be happening.
WHY does it show $0.00 Available funds, $0.00 on hold at the Financial summary? WHERE IS MY MONEY?
WHY didn't eBay let me know ahead of time that they needed more documentation in the first place, before stopping payments or even before switching my account to MP?
WHY is Customer service guessing and giving me different ideas every time I call? A lot of them are nice and polite, and they are trying, but they do not know...
WHY even Managed Payment specialists had to guess (I was lucky to be transferred to one of them once) and after talking to them NOTHING has changed...
WHY do I even have to call every other day for 3 weeks with NO resolution. EVERY TIME I call: "Let's try this... we will contact you in 48 -72 hours... " still NO resolution... Next time I call: " Well that did not work... let's try that this time... we will contact you in 48 -72 hours..." This is UNPROFESSIONAL!!! And one of the reps told me that this is a glitch and hopefully will be fixed in 30 days... another 30 days...?
Yes, it is important to verify sellers, but it should be done without casualties. It is good to know that eBay takes safety seriously, but why at our cost? I was told this is the second verification and there will be 3rd some time later... Am I going to go through the same nightmare again?
