showing up my items in store

I recently opened an eBay store to mainly sell my items. I had listed 24 but only 6 of them showing in the store. It’s been more than 24 hours since I listed all of them. Any ideas?

Applying as self-employer once you reach 1000£ sold?

I recently read something that once I sell 1000£ worth of stuff I need to apply as a self-employer and pay taxes. Is this correct? Has anyone else had issues when they sold up to 1000£ worth of stuff? Thanks
