Seller post today motorcycle for sale too good to be true. But her storyline made sense . But I kept reading and after two days of discussing as she said I was selected to buy the motorcycle to an ebay account . She wants me to pay with a Bitcoin . Has anybody ever heard of this ? I know this game I'm not going to go through with it I was just curious . Thank you

You have to hand it to the scammers for always trying to be one step ahead.  If a eBay seller asks for you to pay off of eBay, it's a scam.  One of the reasons they ask for bitcoin is because it's almost impossible to get any money back without help from a governmental agency.

Bitcoin is the new choice for payment by the scammers.

If you read or listen to the news, the Colonial Pipeline cyber thieves demanded payment with bitcoin.

Do your homework when buying from eBay or anywhere... 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Scammer wants you to feel special to be selected to buy it. I wonder how many others were "selected" too?

Looks the same as junk mail I get that starts with "Congratulations, you have been selected for a special deal......."

Ebay does not support bitcoin payments. Anyone who wants to pay in this pseudo currency is a scam and such people should be sent to the services as soon as possible and announcements to moderators so that other people do not cheat.

Bitcoin is like cash, untraceable, a scammers best friend.  'Her" is most likely a He. scammers use women's names as they make you feel safer. As for the motorcycle it does not exist and "her" story is most likely a sad one, sons death in family, Military shipping out overseas, free shipping, etc.   Usually they ask for eBay gift cards.

wow I wish i was selected, I'm always disappointed when Publisher's Clearinghouse selects somebody else for the 5000/week for life deal.

Do you think they might consider me in the future? I mean for anything? pick me! pick me!
