railroad name challenge

Here is a challenge for some of you younger guys and anybody else who wants to participate. I just sat down here and thought of 40 names of railroads that used to exist in the 1950's & 60's. Without any research or cheating of any kind see how many you can come up with then maybe we will figure out how to comopile a list to see which ones we forgot. It's a shame all those (what must have been) little roads got absorbed or went under....imagine all the wonderful options for motive power paint jobs we'd have!! Mike, You did not answer. Did I miss any "A"s? Hey buddy. I'm not trying to show off. My source is probably different from yours. Of course I'm cheating. I could never come up with 10 out of my head let alone 40 "Fallen Flags". It would be fun to see which list is more complete or at least compare them. All I know is that there are a hell of a lot of railroads out there that only lasted a very short time. What a business! I'll try for the "B"s tomorrow. Pete
