So last friday drove wife to work, got home and key wouldn't unlock the front door. Of course it is cold out, luckily neighbor was home so asked if he could try drilling out the lock. We drilled the lock cylinder out of the door knob and still no luck, drilled some more, tore some pieces out of the knob what was left, tried poking with screw driver to see if something would pop unlock. Drilled some more, went with channel locks, and door swung open. No idea what we did exactly to get the bolt to slide out of the door jamb but I got in. Then had to go out and buy a new lock set. So new door knobs and deabolts for front and back door. front door deadbolt was on its way out too so everything is good now.
