did part 1 of a motorcycle course monday night, got stuck with a 500cc bike to learn on, ended up dumping it on its side, did a good number on my ankle/foot. Rolled the foot/ankle sideways. Luckily I didn't break it, must have just stretch the tendons, because I could still walk (carefully) luckily the next day I could still walk...gingerly. hurt like hell if I stepped on a chunk of gravel. Probably what saved me was it happened in evening so it had overnight of no movement and I was in class all day so minimum time on feet. Today my ankle feels a lot better and looser. I got one day of class, off until sunday evening. so I should be ready to tackle steping on ballast by monday. I called today to cancel course tonite, I just told them I started a new job and can't get out in time, and I don't care that they can't reschedule and that I don't get a refund either. my health (which job depends on) and Job are more important. If i reinjured this same foot that is still healing I would be screwed. So I can't chance it. Waited a year for this opportunity, I can't lose it do a lifetime disability, live without a motorcycle license (maybe for life) I could deal with. I know I was only learning but it was a reality check. scooter is one thing, safely handling a big bike is another. still got the vette that does rediculous speeds.
