The detail is pretty bad on these. The decals are crooked. The wheels don't go around. The structures are over sized. There is no sound. I'll bet the headlights don't work either. Otherwise, not bad. Cheap at half the price.... Grumpy

Pete, You were right about the postage. @ and a half pounds from England to here. What's that about 5.00? Yours was almost three times that amount. And I'll be they don't even deliver on Saturdays either. Mike

No Saturday delivery of mail in Canada. Now do you see why I try to charge $7 or $8 shipping? I wish the "spoiled" rest of the world would realize that Canadians are raped daily in the form of taxes, surcharges and over priced services just so they can have "free" medical treatment; another system they abuse with no shame and then bitch about waiting in the doctor's office or hospital for long hours to get treatment. OOOOOHHH, you got me started. And I have to wait to get a test done to see if I'm going to die of cancer of something for six months just to get the test done. A friend of mine had a heart attack. They stabilized him, told him he needed by-pass surgery and sent him home with pills telling him to take it easy. 10 months later he finally got the single by-pass which by then turned into a triple by-pass. But it is all FREE!!!! Sorry for that tirade, but it is the truth, not just in NF but throughout Canada. And people in the US bitch! About the Small Trains, I was just kidding. I'm amazed at the mechanics involved and was thinking that this is the solution to the infamous "how do I power my mine track" question. Pete

Yes I thought about my mine when I saw this small layout but then I figured if I hit a z scale loco just right with a hammer I might be able to save some money!!!(Hee Hee. Gene

If you click on the bottom of the page in the link there are a lot of different configurations this is how the loco is powered though: How do they run? A ladder rack plastic belt is pulled through the center of hollow square channel track by sprocket-drive motors. Attached to the drive belt is a copper tab that rides in a slit in the top center of the track. The locomotive sits on top of the copper tab and pulls other locomotives and train cars behind it. The train is kept on top of the track by clear plastic guard rails. Now the preferred method is Train Permanently Attached in which the entire train (all cars) are permanently attached to a long flexible acetate tab which is in turn attached to the drive belt inside the track; Guard rails are not installed

Gene, I think part of your message is missing. I read the whole thing and sort of understand the mechanics. It is too small for me though. This guy must be from England. They have absolutly no space for their layouts over there. We are lucky. GF signing out for the night

Pete I went to the bottom of the page in the link above and clicked on info and that is all that is there about how the train runs. Gene

Hmmm Can ya imagine the point-to-point empire I could have with that in a 9X9 ft space. I could run real 110 car consists. :D Wonder how long before micro elcetronics allow us to have something smaller than Z scale and still be motorized. NO! I would not take orders for custom painting and decalling the locos. Need a medical microscope to put the "F" on the ffront of loco. dave

But Dave, You live on the mainland. I'm on the Rock where no one wants to work even 5 days a week. You expect them to work 6? Heck no! They work for the gov't. I consider myselflucky that I get mail 3 days a week. Tuesday thru Thursday. Monday and Friday I get nothing. B-) PS: On the Rock everything comes by boat unless you send it Express post and then it might, just might, catch a plane if there is room.
